I have been working as an Appeals Team Manager at Agena Group for the past two years (I have been working here since i joined 7 years ago!) and I can confidently say that it has been a rewarding and enriching experience. The company's commitment to excellence, coupled with a senior management team that values employee input, has created a workplace culture that is both productive and enjoyable.

As an Appeals Team Manager, my responsibilities span a wide range of tasks, from managing schedules and coordinating meetings to handling correspondence and streamlining office processes. The management at Agena Group truly values the expertise of the Appeals team, regularly seeking our input on process improvements and implementing changes based on our recommendations.

The advisory role we play is not just acknowledged but celebrated. The senior management team actively seeks our insights on various aspects, fostering an environment where everyone's opinions are heard and considered. A typical day involves working closely with different departments, ensuring seamless communication and efficient operations. The senior management team is always approachable, and their open-door policy encourages us to seek guidance when needed. No dedicated employee helpline for issues with payroll or HR issues. 
No facilities system in place so lack of signage being replaced. 
Absolutely poor communication. Employees can't use work devices to call out to headoffice or members of staff. 
WhatsApp used for communication and hardly go answered. Very unprofessional. 
Sites are being neglected for some years  and expect wardens to resume patrolling them surprising clients and motorists.
Team leaders don't help chip in and don't work evening and weekends.
You will lose good talented wardens and those who are committed. Don't make this into a numbers game. End of the day it's about making money then get all staff back to headoffice... Open phone lines and stop treating wardens like outsiders. Listen to wardens general issues and fix them we are front line and we are bringing in the money.
Get headoffice opened 7 days a week. You expect wardens to work evening and weekends then we need staff in headoffice to be our back office support the times you expect us.


Over the past 3-4 years, my tenure at Agena has been a remarkable journey of growth and development. Beginning as a parking warden, I've navigated through various roles within the company, each presenting unique challenges and opportunities for advancement. Recently, I've transitioned into the role of a PMO Analyst, where I am immersed in the intricacies of project management while taking advantage of internal initiatives like Brightstars and apprenticeship course in project management. 

Brightstars is not just a program; it's a transformative experience. It offers participants like me the rare opportunity to engage with C-level mentors and tap into the wealth of knowledge and expertise of senior managers. Through this initiative, I've gained insights that extend far beyond the confines of my current role, enriching my understanding of leadership, strategy, and organizational dynamics.

Reflecting on my time at Agena so far, I'm grateful for the exponential learning curve, the meaningful connections forged, and the invaluable experiences gained. It's been more than just a job; it's been a journey of personal and professional growth within a supportive and dynamic environment.

I thoroughly enjoyed my typical workday, as it provided a stimulating environment where I could apply and enhance my skills. The learning opportunities were abundant, allowing me to broaden my knowledge and stay updated in my field. The management team was supportive, fostering open communication and a collaborative atmosphere. The workplace culture emphasized teamwork and innovation, contributing to a positive and inclusive environment.

The most challenging aspect of the job was handling tight deadlines and multitasking, but it ultimately sharpened my time management skills. On the flip side, the most enjoyable part was the sense of accomplishment when overcoming challenges and working alongside motivated colleagues. Overall, my experience was fulfilling, offering a blend of professional growth, supportive leadership, and a vibrant workplace culture.

The job it self is easy but the expectation of ticketing people is ridiculous, I can’t stop people and ask them to park somewhere where I can ticket them can I? If there is a vehicle to ticket on site then I will but if there isn’t don’t start calling and asking me why haven’t I ticketed anyone on that site. Common sense there wasn’t any car to ticket at the time I was there. This job is nothing but stress and a pain, almost forgot if you hate swearing or don’t like to be around people who use foul language all the time then this job is not for you and I’m not just talking about the “customers” you’ve just ticketed but office themselves have a really foul mouthed. I’d just say don’t bother with this company they will smile to your face today but tomorrow morning receive a call saying we’ve decided to let you go. 

Please make sure you don't really care about your car before applying this job. I worked for 2 months and have already drove more than 7000 miles. I enjoy driving a lot but it made me start to feel frustrated while driving almost 200 miles every time I work. Of course they cover part of the cost of fuel, but not the maintenance of the vehicle. On top of that, the manager would keep calling you when you cannot meet the target of the tickets. I have tried my best to drove around a huge area, may be lucky sometimes but most of the time was lack of that and got few tickets only. 
I wouldn't say this job is the worst, but only when you don't care how much you drive and how will that damage your car, and you are fine to go for this job.

I dont have a lot to say but I was working with this company for like 6 months , I was loving the job because you get to do whatever you want because you always work by yourself,  but you will need to always call the office for help and this is the funny bit ! The people in the office or the people that been in the company for long they are always chilling in the office and not replying to your call! THEY DEFINITELY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU WORKING OUTSIDE AND MAKING THEM THE MONEY.

SO MAKE SURE IF YOU APPLYING FOR THIS JOB YOU DONT HAVE ANY BILLS TO PAY !!!!! CAUSE IF YOU DO HAVE BILLS YOU NEVER PAY THEM ON TIME ! SO PLEASE DONT NOT APPLY FOR THIS ROLE EVEN IF YOUR BROKE!

Poor and out-of-touch management, gossipy and toxic office culture where people would rather report you than help you. Terrible training structure when there is a huge amount to learn. Company needs restructuring from top to bottom as it profits off ticketing innocent residents. Far too stressful for such low pay. Can’t handle HR issues either. Would avoid at all costs.
