What is the best part of working at the company?

In my experience, the subsidised meals and free coffee are one of the few consistently positive aspects of working here. On long shifts, this is a practical benefit that makes a noticeable difference.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?

The hours are demanding, which is expected in logistics. However, I find the bigger issue to be the lack of a supportive team environment. I often feel isolated rather than part of a cohesive team, which makes the job more stressful than it needs to be.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?

From my experience, the culture can feel uncomfortable and, at times, exclusionary. I have personally witnessed behaviour between staff that I feel crosses the line of what is appropriate in a workplace, including jokes and comments relating to religion. In my opinion, when this type of behaviour is not clearly challenged, it creates an environment where it can continue.

I also observe what feels like a clear divide between groups of staff in communal areas, with people tending to stick within their own circles. From my perspective, this gives the impression of a workplace that lacks genuine integration and inclusivity.
In conversations during my time here, I have become aware that some colleagues from minority backgrounds have experienced situations that made them feel uncomfortable. Hearing similar experiences more than once reinforces my view that this is not just a one-off issue, but something that affects how inclusive the environment feels day to day.

Overall, my experience is that the culture does not consistently promote a respectful or inclusive environment for everyone. In my opinion, there is a need for stronger and more visible action to set expectations around behaviour and to address issues when they arise, rather than allowing them to go unchecked.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?

In my experience, the day-to-day work is repetitive and task-focused. While the role itself is straightforward, I find that the combination of long hours and the working environment makes it difficult to feel fully engaged or motivated. I am currently considering other opportunities

Terrible company to work for. Disgusting amenities, vans and warehouses. They have 2 sites in tonbridge, they don’t tell you in the ad that you are expected to load chilled/freezer items from a different site. This is done outside in the elements. Ambient is loaded for you. No allowance made for new starters to ease into the job, you are treated as if you been doing the job for years. As a result the 8 hour day does not exist. In my very short time there the days were more like 12-15 hour days. They tell you the route you get will be the one you are trained on, however I was sent to different unfamiliar routes every day from day one. I asked to be allowed more time and the only response I got was ‘you need more training’. No I needed the company to allow more time to familiarise with routes and products. Loads are not secured in van, so very easy to end up with everything mixed up in the back which then takes more time to sort out. Management didn’t listen to my concerns raised and were only bothered with having routes completed. I can see the job would’ve got easier but I was not prepared to do 12-15 hour days until this was the case. The company should’ve scaled down the routes to allow new starters more time.

I currently work as a multi drop driver for Albion. I have been here since September and can honestly say we are a great bunch. We have a fantastic mix of supportive colleagues and management. Since the day I started, I have felt integrated and part of the team, from a female point of view, it can be hard trying to find the right fit in a predominantly male team! I have never felt out of place nor intimidated by my peers. If I’ve had an issue, (let’s say getting lost or struggling to gain access to a drop) help is always on hand, literally at the end of the phone! There are lots of progression opportunities, for example, I am looking to take my class two licence with the company this year. Don’t get me wrong, the work is just that, it can be labour intensive if it is a busy day, but, as with all multi drop roles, this comes with the territory, as do early morning starts! For me, the rough comes with the smooth, we all have great days, we all have not so great days, but we all pull together as a team and help each other through it. I would absolutely recommend Albion as a workplace! 

Unprofessional management with poor communication and a clear culture of favouritism and racism. Managers are openly disrespectful, talk down about drivers to others, and regularly gossip about staff. Vans are frequently overloaded illegally, with management prioritising numbers over safety and employee wellbeing.

Routes are rarely ready on arrival, and drivers are often expected to load their own vans — a task that should be carried out by warehouse operatives, not HGV drivers. Drivers are also expected to cover fines and tickets out of their own pocket.

Overall, this is a very poor and toxic work environment, largely due to ineffective transport management. I would not recommend working here.

Working at Albion fine foods gives me so much joy and happiness, there’s good leadership and excitement management, everyone is so kind and so supportive and helpful. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
On my part my part I have not found anything stressful, cause everytime I need help I usually gets it. I have not experienced any form of racism everyone is approachable, my colleagues, my supervisors and the managers, everybody has been nice and friendly to me ever since I started and I enjoy every minute I’m at work 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
We work as a team, helping one another when  help is needed is what have experienced. Regardless of different races at Albion we work as one family

The job was alright to begin with and for the first fee months but has become disastrous and disgusting now with poor management, 

Transport management are hypocrittes ,  they complain about things but think its another rul for then to do it like call drivers up when they are driving and expect them to pick it up at what ever the cost .  

The loading is often behind and not ready for you when you turn up for your shift.  You are often called in for loke 5am but then the loading peoppe are behund ao you are sitting around for hours waiting when there was no point going in that early. But they don't bother letting  you  with any respect. 

The transport department is run by childish kids who do not act professional and treat the place like a playground and insult you.

leaving at the end of the day, managers don't know what they are doing

the managers to many people thinking they the boss

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
non existent if your face didn't fit you got the jobs that were miles away impossible to do in the hrs given 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
get in wait around for what seems like hrs whilst the incompetent managers sort your paper work out, do the deliveries that ends in/ near Portsmouth,  then you get a call to drive to Birmingham  to do a collection whilst only having a hr left of your work day to get back to Tonbridge before even going to Birmingham

The management team and supervisors are a really nice friendly group of people. You'll be given all the training you need and in my opinion an above average wage for a multi drop job. 
Working for Albion is all about having the right attitude and understanding the nature of the business it's in.
 Sometimes it can be hard work and sometimes the days can be long but the opposite is equally true. 
There is ample opportunity to progress in the business whether that's office based,warehouse or driving. There are lots of negative reviews I've noticed, which focus on solely on negative aspects that are not routinely the norm.
 I have been at Albion for over two years now, and have watched the business grow massively and it continues to do so.

From the start, the management are approachable and engaging, consistently monitoring progress and aiding improvement. It is clear Albion is evolving constantly at incredible pace, since I joined 4 months ago, they have began introducing new procedures and systems. You can see this company will grow exponentially in the years to come; As a result it is a brilliant time to join the Albion journey! 
Competitive rate of pay with a bonus scheme which motivates and boosts morale daily! 
Overall a professional, yet friendly place to work! I would highly recommend. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
I enjoyed working at Alibon Fine food's in security and transport but made redundant end of April 2024 I would go back to them if job vacancy was available

Some time's not many vans coming back from delivery and them loads come back at the same time

Very good  I enjoyed working with them
