People from all backgrounds hired only to show convenient for a modern society.
Limited resources and outdated equipment used for a very intense manufacture environment.
Ineffective management that systematically failed years after years and always acting under ostrige sindrome and blaming their staff and partners.
Employee burnout, high turnover rate, loosing contracts and all ending with savage campaign of sacking personal over the night, without notice.
Deliberate underpayment.
Competence is not promoted but friendship and family relationships are main resources of the company.
A prosecution body was created for production personal only, and works  under cover of quality assessment.
Production employees are constantly observed by assessors, tested and in case of negative reports are loosing the job immediately.
Production materials and documents are essentially incomplete or unclear and give  power to assessors to fail anyone at anytime.

12 hour shifts from 0600-1800hrs.
I learned how to build bulkheads for repeaters, i gained excellent knowledge of electical works involving PCB boards, making coils for PCB boards, handling fibre optics, surface mount and power wire soldering, also learned how to do leakage testing on high voltage direct current. I gained a qualification (Certified IPC Specialist).
The management were firm but fair.
As i was at the end of the process line, there was alot of pressure on me to complete very intricate moves of fibre optics as these were very easy to break and it could ruin the entire product of which there were 13 previous stages and each product cost thousands of pounds.
The most enjoyable part of the job was producing an excellent product and meeting the deadline.

If you’re a contractor which you will be to enter, you’ll never make it, promotion and hiring is controlled by the small groups of permanent staff in each department, they’re not looking for talent, they’re looking for people who listen and don’t ask questions or have any ambition, if you show ambition and willingness to learn something they don’t want you to know, you become a target of blaming culture and your contract will be terminated before the 2 year period if you lucky, promotions and permanent positions are given secretly first to the less threatening contractors.
HR, Supervisors and Health and safety officials are all part of the ring. 

Avoid at any cost going to this hijack prison style controlled factory. 

Leadership of individuals who do not want to hear bad news about their environment. In Greenwich, entire management and leadership teams instil a culture where this is the case. 
Working in a culture of fear where people do not feel comfortable reporting bad things at all, and so employees who find bad things may actively try to hide it and lie about progress.
This lead to creating a control group to check employees, to justify their poor management, but never improving leadership or working methodology.
Improvising, blaming culture, unqualified leaders, old fashioned working conditions.
Infested by relatives, friends and family affair groups who takes control and promote only " good lads".

I can say this Company it will give you rewords if you work hard and you can grow in the business for a great future.Depends on the individual if he wants to grow or not.Nothing is impossible you just need to work for it.The job, culture is there and also the opportunity to become something more in life.No many companies I was working for before give me so many opportunities to learn and progress like ASN.I am the happiest person having this job.

Very good company and cared for its workers. Company was innovative and was at the cutting edge of fibre optic transatlantic communication technology. I acquired a valuable set of technical and transferable skills.

The work is interesting and does not do too many physical activities however gradual overwork is stressful as management increases workload when people push themselves and takes it as a new norm, punished for pushing themselves.

Very good company to work for, learn many new things. Hours can can be long (12hrs), but are spaced out with significant breaks. Management are firm but also understandable and approachable. Culture is very friendly and feels almost family-sort.


Long hours to work with unreal expectations. Poor training, unappreciation from management, lack of support, communication, coaching and feedback from manager and supervisors. Claiming the benefits from someone else hard work.
