Having been a member of staff for 10+ years I can honestly say Alfa Tail Lifts is an excellent company to work for and be a part of. You are made to feel that you are a part of the company rather than a number.
Family feel company with helpful, polite friendly staff which explains the low number of staff turnover. 

The company works around everyone's individual requirements, for example working hours to help with childcare.

Plenty of opportunities to progress within the company and progression is offered internally before being outsourced. 

The company holds yearly events to raise money for charity which has included a bike ride from London to Paris and a skydive. 

I have worked here for just over a year now, and had no prior direct experience. I have been supported in learning the role and have learnt a lot with the help of management and colleagues.

The staff are all welcoming, supportive and relaxed to work with.  There is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the office. It is never to much to ask for help or support.

The management are happy to provide help when required but also encourage to improve confidence and decision making.  I feel comfortable in speaking to any of the management about any issues I have, whether professional or personal. 



Fast paced, busy office, but still retains a fun, friendly small company atmosphere, with a high emphasis on team work.
Excellent owner to work for, who's high work ethic rubs off on his employees, always ready to muck-in and be one of the team. Also takes a personal interest in your welfare, and there is nothing he wouldn't do to help any member of staff.
The work is fast paced, high pressured, and can be stressful, however the team spirit and camaraderie in the office to get the job done makes the job rewarding on a daily basis.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Can’t think of anything as all they do is gossip and complain about people as soon as they walk out the door and confidentially in some departments is shocking

The nastiness behind your back

Not very good in the department I worked in 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It was terrible they were either whispering or gossiping

The owner has done well for himself but the company has outgrown the building. There's no staff room area so you have to have lunch in your car however, in saying that, the office isn't the cleanest of places anyway! Just be warned that it really isn't a clean environment. Salary is good but long hours reflect this. Staff are lovely, but as ever there are a few who like to make your life difficult or just choose to ignore you. Wasn't the job for me.

Nothing apart from some of the people who are lovely

Juggling many things at the same time

Awful and wouldn't recommend it

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very busy and doesn't stop. Constantly on the phone

Overall a great place to work with friendly people and opportunities. 
A fast pace / busy environment which can be stressful but that is part and parcel of the job role I have. 
There is always support from team leaders and management when needed. 
I feel appreciated for the work I do which makes you want to go the extra mile to keep up the great reputation this company has.

Great teamwork and support from both fellow engineers and management.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not really stressful, but there is lots to learn.

Very supportive and considerate

I've worked within the company for over 8years  one of the better company's to work for . team moral is good, management easy to approach and always happy to support .it is a fast paced environment which makes your day go quicker .overall a enjoyable place to work.
