I worked here for just over a year and my immediate manager was amazing, so helpful and caring. Although there was no progression in the role. 

there's no training what so ever, i had to learn everything myself, the immediate manager was unable to help with this due to work load and the other woman on front desk was constantly off sick so i had to wing it the majority of the time.  

HR didn't seem that fussed to help with any issues and hadn't been at all helpful with potentially a change of hours or help with issues within the workplace (numerous complaints put through to management with regards to colleagues punctuality, work quality and sickness problems etc as i was doing a two person job for in total 8 months of 13 months there) higher up management seem to bully you out of your job if you call them up on potential issues and suggestions which could make things run smoother. No help or support, after all the complaints, they decided to move me to a different branch, therefore handed in my notice because they werent resolving the issue only covering it up. 

Only really care about profit and will force it down your throat if you aren't selling service plans (even though we were commercial and a lot of people aren't interested because they are only drivers) 

my manager and workshop colleagues were the reason i stayed so long as they make it worth-while but the hours do run you down.

A typical day at work would be to go to my workstation and check my deliveries to be made on the 1st run. 
Check my customers orders with the invoices and write down my list of customers and whether they were cash on delivery or account .
I would then load up my van and then start my 1st lot of deliveries.
Once at my customer i would unload any parts and then go to my customer to check the parts and sign for the delivery and take payment if cash on delivery. 
I would deal with returns as necessary and even deal with refunds when possible.
I would do 5 runs a day with up to 15+ deliveries in each run.
My co workers were really good to work with and at times we would work as a team.
Hardest part of the job would be getting stuck in traffic and being a little late to my customers but they were very understanding as long as they were kept informed.
I really enjoyed this job and the most enjoyable part was the driving and the interacting with my regular customers. I actually built up a good relationship with all my customers and that was important to me.

After an average commute of 1.5 to 2 hours I would be at the dealership at 8.15am. I  would spend most of the day always keeping an eye on the used car area to keep it tidy & stocked. As we had very little passing trade I spent a good deal of time contacting prospective & old customers to obtain appointments & eventual sales. The Sales & Business Managers were enthusiastic & tried to help as wmuch as possible but were constrained in what they could do because of the limitations imposed by the Group. My colleagues were a great team & we aided each other in whatever way we could. The best part of the day was when I could deal with a customer & help them obtain the most suitable vehicle the best possible way & they left us feeling completely on a high. The most onerous part of the job has become the increase of systems & processes which now takes up the majority of time compared with several years ago.

Relate profit gained, KPI's and data information to managers, directors and chairman.
Motivate and drive team/department to over achieve daily targets in a fun and positive working environment therefore producing an excellent customer experience.
Every member of staff have a different area of skill and knowledge which are all willing to share best practice to improve personal development and department performance.
I started my career as a parts apprentice in 1995 and with the assistance of a great management team within all areas of the business I have worked hard to push myself to manager level which produces some challenges and tough decision making but also gives me a buzz when we see satisfied customers, make money/profit and a happy working team.

I have gained alot of experience from working at Allen Ford, I have been extremley lucky with the managers I have worked with and the fantastic oppurtunities i have been given. 
My typical day at work begins at 8.00am, i then go through the work which is in and the work i am expecting to come in and access a way of planning the day ahead. I then try to motivate my technicians and also pre warn them of the day ahead so they are then in the right mind set. It is hard to give you more than this as every day is so different, doing control there is always unexpected obsitcales to over come, as in sales, breakdowns ect..
I honestly can say i enjoy every aspect of my job role i look forward to going in as i work with a fantastic team of people. There are times where it can get stressful but for me personally this adds to the enjoyment as its a new challenge to face. 

I've been doing car sales for a few years now and consider it one of the best jobs in the world, you speak to people all day and drive new cars with them.
At Typical day at work was arrive at 8am prospect new customers from unreliable sources, meet and greet new walk ins and ultimately sell new cars. I would roughly finish around 7-8pm. I learned a great deal about customer service while at EAG but nothing I hadn't already learned at my previous position.
I found the management difficult to work with, most of them abusing their positions at General Manager, although my direct sales manager was a joy to work with and was always free to offer professional or personal advice. My co-workers were also a joy to work with keeping everyone's moral high and helping each other in whatever way they could.

As a receptionist at Allen Ford, the experience is both dynamic and rewarding. The role involves welcoming customers, managing phone inquiries, and scheduling appointments, which fosters strong communication skills and customer service abilities. The environment is fast-paced, allowing for the development of multitasking and organizational skills. Other colleagues were generally very helpful whilst I was still training. 

Management were awful, constantly felt made out to be asking stupid questions even though it was stated I had never done sales before. Even when asking for help on figures or handovers help was not provided. A lot of here say back and forward too. Felt bullied into wanting to leave due to it being so male dominated. After leaving when told my documents would be on a specific site these were not provided to me. Overall wouldn’t reccomend unless you want to be just a number. 

A lot to learn and very fast paced however if you are a slower learner than most you will struggle. 

I like to work in an environment where i can be fully trained and proprely understood the product or service iam providing.  Allen ford unfortuattley did not provide that.

I must beleive in the product or service that iam offering to customers so i can convince of it and sell it on to them.
Cars where way overpriced

i like to work in a place where people are there to help me and help them at any given time to make the work lighter and easier  to finish.
Allen ford did not have that

The other members of staff are really easy to get on with and you feel you are part of a team.

The end of the month and reaching the target figures set

Can be very stressful at times but you manage to get through it with your work colleagues
