From start to finish, this place was a complete nightmare and is quite possibly the worst place I have ever worked, what you have is negativity from every angle, the staff are rude and clique and the managers don’t have a clue what is going on in the place, absolutely no organisation and very little communication between the different departments, you have a strange dynamic in this place where a lot of the staff are approaching retirement age or past it already! Yet have an attitude that they want to almost gatekeep knowledge from younger members of staff because they think they’re going to put them out of a job or something, health and safety is very very relaxed in this place and you get a lot of the older members of staff reminiscing about how in the olden days health and safety legislation wasn’t a thing and how young members of staff have too many rights and have it easy (really strange if you ask me)  The workplace has a really isolated and dull feel to it, during tea and lunch breaks no one really talks to each other as 75% of staff sit in their cars on their own. Maybe a lot of disharmony in the workplace ? 

A typical day at work was getting called to have a password reset or some new access given and building machines for new users, it wasn't very stressful when like this.

A good company to work for. Users are friendly when not in a pinch, there were a few environmental issues, but management after a few incidents would strive to to fix this quickly.

I liked meeting new personnel and taking them through the ropes, it is a good way to know they will not make the same mistakes as those who were not trained properly.

The hardest part of any IT job is large amounts of users converging on you all at once when anxious or irritated and expecting to be seen first.

Deadlines and working to cost, not unusual for this part of this industry.

Pretty supportive and you shall be recognized for your efforts.

Analyze work load and prioritize, complete work as planned.

Nice chilled place to work, as long as work was done they didn't bother you. A lot of jobs in the build process everyone is expected to know and do. Had to shut as soon as the Chinese market went down with covid and after 6-7 months on furlough, the only way they could go back into production was by making a lot of redundancies. 

While working as a assembly technician I was constantly under pressure of doing five jobs at once and the management was so out of touch with there staff it was unbelievable.  The worse management department within the company was the inspection department absolutely clueless got certain foreign supervisor so rude . I would not recommend anyone to work there its a disgrace. 

Plenty of opportunity to think on your feet and problem solve in this fast paced environment. If you like a challenge, building relationships and getting results, then this is a great place to work.

The company is interested in quality and speed. Time keeping is important.
They are very STRICT with their employees. They are very QUICK at getting rid of people if they don't meet the HIGH STANDARD. I was at Ametik for 4 weeks.

Nice friendly people and a good working environment, I have a good variety of duties to do on a daily bases, and the work changed from week to week to give me a chance to learn the whole process of the work required at Soletron

Its a great place for work experience placement, great advice for the younger generation and very well organized in each department of the factory I would recommend it
