Amot and Chalwyn personnel at Bury St. Edmunds are hard working and nice to work with. Day to day duties are clearly defined and although there are some difficult characters, everyone helps out when required.  I learned their IFS system, which can be challenging at times as it is very rigid and training was not particularly good (there are no training modules or guide books)
Personnel, in the words of workers there is "non-existent" but I was fortunate to work with some really nice managers.
The hardest part of the job was getting to and back from work and dealing with North American Culture (Overly controlled and even astonishing at times) In a sentence, North Americans look after their own and have little regard for anyone else.
The most enjoyable part of my work was being part of a successful Chalwyn team and achieving record results in 2014.
Also working with some great suppliers and simplifying schedules and replenishment during 2014.

Initially I started working for Amot in production area and the atmosphere seemed good. The team leader was kind and caring. There were other team members that didn't let me feel excluded either. However there was a manager that was laud and intimidating , not letting you talk to your colleagues at all and constantly catching you out. I got suddenly dismissed under false pretences of talking too much, having untidy workstation and performance deteriorating. I had no warnings or suggestion that it was the case. I had actually often not enough work to do.

I worked at the Goods Inward department as a Goods-in and Stores Operative / forklift driver .
I learned their IFS system(The modules I neede for my job) training was not particularly good,no training modules or guide books. The training overall was rather poor, no records of training etc..
Based on my experience I can say it was a toxic work environment and person in charge of the Goods In department was gaslighting me.
I met also very nice people there though. The H&S manager was really nice person who seemed to know his job well.


Great bunch. Good people and good company to work for. Very convenient for me as i live nearby and travelling to work is not a problem.
