What is the best part of working at the company?
You finding and meeting trully lovely people, genuine, down-to-hearth, and she priceless feelings of giving love to those in need... 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
In one of the houses awful people, really mean, they frame you for envy and jealousy... And they're not properly the best carers, and thy are instructed to lie like rugs and get together against who they don't like... I never thought I was going you find this... Even though I was warned us about that house... Sadly. And I was a very good and passionate carer, with a long experience in dealing with human lives in a respectful way... There was a colleague who used to say " I can see immediately when it is you in the night shift, residents have properly had their hygiene done, showered and clean, and one of the seniors loved me and recognised how good I was "... The result... I ended up being literally haunted and all with consent and instruction of the manager.. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
In the nursing home where I worked, for people with dementia, expect a few cases, all the staff was OK, the atmosphere was lovely...
But in the other home, it just makes wish you would've never met such people... Add you would have never been there... Envious, mean and evil people, besides not caring for the residents, they also were not respectful... 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Depending on the good you're working at, it can be really pleasant and fulfilling, or it can make you have heartburn... Of so much disgust... They get to the point of being agressive.. '

They will work you into the ground and expect you to be able to do work that should be for more then one person day in and day out! Management allowed bullies to pretty much run the place because they where to ineffectual to do anything about it. Working for this company trashed my mental health and when I tried to raise issues I was just told pretty much that's the way it is deal with it! They also threaten their sponsored workers to be quiet or go back home if they have an issue with the work conditions when they would tell them there are not enough staff . The upper management for catering also had a despicable attitude telling staff well we have plenty CVS if you don't like it while they left me alone for months with no real help. And that they thought because they brought a new kitchen on the cheap they could demand unattainable standards while refusing to hire more staff from the plenty of CVS they apparently had. They even kept sending me work related emails in the months after I left. If you like being overworked and gaslit Aria care is the company for you.

A typical day at work would include peeling half a bag of potatoes and washing them then placing them into a pot of water for the Chef to cook up for mash. Then washing all the pots and pans from each meal and putting them away ready to be used again. I would then stay while the chef left early and I was responsible for cleaning the whole kitchen.

I feel that I didn't learn much from this job as the routine was always the same and it became very boring quite quickly doing the same thing over and over again. The management was poor in my eyes and I didn't feel they had a professional take on things and they never took me seriously because I was the youngest worker there.

My co-workers would show no interest in making conversation with me when they entered the room.

The hardest part of the job was the long 12+ hours a day and often working by myself, having no company and standing all day would hurt my feet. The water from washing up would ruin the skin on my hands and I wasn't always allowed a lunch break. Personally I enjoyed nothing about this job.

Day starts with handover, you are then allocated to a floor.
You will very rarely work the ground floor as this is for those in the click or favorites 
1st floor is often under staffed, no hospitality ever, you spend the day playing catch-up in most areas from personal care, serving food, drinks, making beds but often not till mid afternoon as never enough bedding available.
The 2nd floor (nursing care), is similar to the 1st floor but with hospitality.
Management are only interested in reaching targets, no interest in staff well being and the residents are seen as profit. Most of the staff are very hard working and enthusiastic despite being run ragged, the residents do not get the care, time or input they deserve and pay for due to so few staff being on shifts.
Staff do not stay in the home very long and training is very hit and miss with records often being incorrect and home is filthy dirty as house keeping are bone idle.

Enjoyed my voluntary work experience, learnt a lot about people, about understanding and became more confident in social situations. The management was great and supported and made me feel welcome. My co- workers were very polite and helped me settle into it. The hardest part of the job was trying to make certain residents feel positive about going out or about family members coming to visit. The most enjoyable part of the job was helping people feel positive, as the more practice I got from speaking to many different people the more comfortable I felt and realised I was good at advising people and expressing an energetic vibe.

Since working at Oak Manor, part of ARIA CARE, everyone is so kind, professional, thoughtful and overall amazing. My manager is very efficient and always determined to makes things better and better for the residents and staff, while also being so generous, caring and kind to everyone. All the residents and their relatives are lovely. My experience of the company so far is that its very pleasant to work for and I'm very happy. The best part of my job is helping Residents and their families feel comfortable, even if its as simple as making a cup of tea, and also how we are all one big team that I'm proud to be A part of.

No two days are the same. There is always a plethora of tasks to complete. It is a demanding environment with many multi faceted solutions across the different units. 
Each unit has it own requirements and  individual criteria's to be met.
The challenges that present themselves are resolved by collaboration and clear open communication, to benefit the various stakeholders involved.

We have a supportive management structure.

The hardest part of the job is resource allocation.

The most enjoyable part is seeing the residents and relative happy.

Aria care is a good company .Management and staffs are very friendly. I am also happy be  an employee of aria care

Well organised and structured atmosphere

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
On my average day of work  I start speak to my seniors this way I  can get everything organized at the start of the day . It's easy for my rest of the hours for doing the job.

The company in itself doesn't care about the staff and is mostly interested in bums in beds. The management style from head office is lacking.
The managers at the care home are exceptional. Always working hard despite a lack of funding and resources. 
Constantly trying to keep staff motivated and engaged despite having to respond to hundreds of emails, phonecalls and meetings per week.
A typical day consists of working hard and getting very little appreciation for the job you do. 


Working in DPV has helped me a lot, especially in terms of my studies. Although the job is demanding when delivering care, you'll still feel encouraged every time you do something for the residents. The most enjoyable part of working in DPV is when i am having a conversation with the residents, especially in Dementia Unit. The hardest part is when you know some residents that you supported is leaving to go somewhere far. The management is always very supportive, especially when it comes to you wanting to develop yourself personally and professionally.
