Warehouse managed by an heavy metal rocker which have his friends spreads around the different department. - Many group inside the work place uncontrolled by management can make your life really miserable.   The less you talk the better the is ...everything you say get twisted. Management don't care, a lot of promises but nothing much happen. If you have a brain avoid . A lot of bully and useless psychological  pressure (from managers and supervisors) if this guys decides to put you in condition to leave .  Is OK if you want to do extra money during Christmas as they give you the opportunity to do over time with a very good rate of pay.. with 1 hour and 15 min break in 13 Hours.
It may look like an happy place when you walk in.but don't let them fool you ..slowly the true will appear...you'll never progress so don't think that your are clever when yuo walk in and the other are stupid. ..they just lost any interest in them job as nothing as  changed;  people go slowly unless some supervisors or people from other department are around.  Put an extra effort is never noticed unless you are part of the the rocker band (sad but true). Good Luck

Ps2 don't go open up with managers or supervisors..they will tell to others employees as they can't keep anything confidential.

No two days will ever be the same in this brand. The culture can be absolutely wacky as it is centred on the Chairman and Creative Director (husband and wife duo) who are filled with passion and ideas. The couple have two days (both called Daisy?!?) who are also frequent guests in the office and stores.

We have just hired a new CEO who is incredible and is really trying her hardest to professionalise and grow the business. We are all excited about the next chapter of the journey under her guidance.

Head office is quite drab - some rooms too hot, some too cold. Warehouse is below and they leave product throughout all the corridors - not very professional. Toilets need brining up to date and the building is very compartmentalised.

Most stores though are great and they have just introduced a London office - I hope my department gets moved there. 

This business wont be for everyone but if you like having your voice heard, being in constant contact with the senior management team and every day being wilder than the last this is the business for you.

I've been with Aspinal for over three years, and everyday I still go to work excited about what will happen.

Everyone cares about you - from the retail management team, to training, to warehouse, to the sales director, to the CEO and chairman! Everyone wants you to do well, and you are so supported.

I think some people mistake support for feeling they will constantly be helped and 'spoon fed'. This isn't the case. The management team are stretched, so you have to make it through on your own a lot of the time. If you want someone constantly on call for you, this isn't the brand for you. However - we are really trusted - like, if you make a decision that you can justify was what you felt the best thing to do, you will be supported even if it was wring. I feel this has made me grow and develop so much. 

As a store manager, progression is a little limited. However, as the brand develops over the next few years I know there will be new opportunities present themselves.

I originally started at the company in May however after a difficult manager made me feel unwelcome I left. After the manager was relieved of their duty I was asked to return to my job and came back at the end of October, and honestly every stop has been pulled out to ensure my return to the company was comfortable. I have an incredible area manager who has been so supportive and friendly and has mentored me and helped me with my confidence, and everyone else in the business is very welcoming and friendly. Aspinal is a really wonderful, progressive company to work for and you definitely feel like part of a family as opposed to just being expected to grind away and get no recognition.

Aspinal is a great place to learn fast as the job is very hands on. You will be doing sales, deliveries, collections, sending emails and calls and even filling in reports. All with good training and guidance!
The pay is not the best in the luxury commerce. Nonetheless, people are generally lovely, the company will put into you as much as you put into them (in my opinion). I got to represent the brand in another town and even got a personal email from the CEO after a great Sunday at work. Little things like that show you are appreciated.
A fast-growing company so there is a high chance of career development.
Depending on the city and particular shop you are, you'll have different days and responsibilities.
You get commission and discount on their products as well as a, very generous, uniform allowance.

This is by far one of  the best companies I have worked for. 
The people could not have been more welcoming and making sure I settled in from day 1. 

The department in which i worked in everyone was extremely friendly and I have taken friendships from there that I will have forever. 

The job is as expected so the day's can be quite slow at times and repetitive but the people you are surrounded by definitely make it go fast and more enjoyable. 

The management are brilliant and extremely approachable and will take on board any problems or worries. They also offer undivided support to anyone whom needs it. 

I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and I can only hope anyone who chooses to join the company will have the same experience working there as I did.

I found my time with Aspinal of London to be both challenging and rewarding. The commission and discount is good but pay is basic. As the brand is growing so rapidly, people who are looking for opportunities for growth and are at Customer Assistant, Supervisor or Assistant Manager level will do well.

Working for Aspinal feels like one big family and individuality is celebrated and encouraged. The team all work very hard.
Unfortunately, at a more Senior Management level there are far less opportunities available for growth and although the Manager bonus is good (if you are in a large store) - other benefits such as maternity pay, pension or medical benefits are minimal.

I worked for Aspinal of London as a Sales Associate,Full time. I had not been given any job security, passed my probation, my contract was not updated. I worked as a permanent staff but had temp christmas contract. They pay unfairly depending on your previous experience and connections within the company. Some employees are paid less and some more. The company management explained that they have no job reference policy and do not provide you with job references which is too bad. The management was good at some branches and bad at other branches. Nice employees, the majority were very hard working, professional and great to work with.

From day one at Aspinal you really can feel the opportunity to develop.

I work as part of an amazing team in a great store. We are treated really well in terms of benefits including discount and clothing allowance. We also have great training opportunities - I recently completed the Aspinal Management Programme which really helped me develop my skills ready for a management position. 

It is a family atmosphere and you really mean something to the company - much more than just a number.

Working at Aspinal was a dream. The management were lovely, helpful and understanding. My colleagues went out of their way to teach me the ropes and to help me become the best person for the job that I could be. They taught me everything they knew about the products and the company as a whole and also helped me improve my customer service skills greatly. The hardest part of the job was dealing with difficult customers and going out of my way to make sure they were happy when they left and to ensure they would be a repeat customer in the future.
