My experience at Atlas Facilities Management, unfortunately, was not a positive one. I was genuinely excited to join, as I connected with people on LinkedIn beforehand and truly thought this would be a great role. Sadly, the reality didn’t match what I was promised. While some managers and teams may thrive, the environment I encountered was far from supportive. I was met with a lack of training, an unsupportive and contradicting line manager, and even an insult from a senior director on day one. Despite my attempts to improve processes and create efficiency, these efforts were not acknowledged. Upon giving my notice to leave the company, I was ignored by my line manager and not even asked for the reasons of why I was leaving. 
 I really believe Atlas could benefit from evaluating their senior managers across departments, ensuring a more positive, welcoming, and supportive workplace culture. I hope my feedback can contribute to that change.

The typical day involves meetings which have zero relevance. Inductions and team meetings were the favourite gets to speak about the latest going ons in their life. No clear direction for tackling the work. Training is minimal. They do not have any training notes. Owner has a unhealthy need to keep coming in and out the office and make his wealth known. Yet they can’t afford a light bulb? I was literally put under a broken light bulb for 2months for a role requiring 35 hours in front of a computer screen. Many of the staff are related. Location is horrible. It is a farm in the middle of nowhere. Imagine getting attacked and injured on your way home from work and then your company let you go a couple weeks later. The hardest part of the job is to see a colleague get praise for not doing much work while you are ignored despite bringing in over 100k overdue. 

Typical day is stressful from the start. High standards are expected. Nothing you do is enough and pushed to do more because others aren't pulling their weight and it's put onto you even if its not your job. Doing management duties and not paid for it.

I learned even when told how happy they are with your work how hard you work even doing the extra hours they want its not enough and even say 
they appreciate the changes you made for they company and on the site your not as indispensable as they say you are. Quick to let you go no notice, verbal or written warning before they let you go. 

Management only look out for themselves to make sure their job is safe and your just a number to them.

Hardest part of the job keeping Management happy and trying to live upto unrealistic expectations.

i have have for this company for almost 3 yrs , it was all good to start off with but for just over a yr  or so it has gone down hill massively , there is no communication with management and there staff at all one says one thing and the other says the other , you get false promises all the time , the managers are every unprofessional nothing is ever dealt with no point ringing HR  because they don't even know what's going on , they cant keep the staff not managers away they also go through staff & managers quicker then you can eat a take away meal , i only reason i am still with them is because i love the place i clean at, they are fab they sort out if i have any problems ,  they don't even get cover when you take your holidays because they haven't got the staff so when you end up going bk to work nothing has been done ,  

Throughout my life, I have tended to last two or three years in a company or business before getting itchy feet and moving on.

I have been with Atlas more than 8 years now and still find that it is the place where I want to work and spend my time.

I have the greatest respect for my colleagues and count several of them as real friends, another first for me as I have always kept work and home life separate in the past.

There is always the opportunity to grow and develop with the company no matter where you start and we are all actively encouraged to find our own happiness inour roles. Very few companies in my experience could claim the same.

DO NOT WORK HERE! I started working for atlas in the David Lloyd centre a month ago and the manger sacked me for taking 4 days off within 5 weeks. Reason for been off is my children were unwell and he expected me to leave them when the y were unwell. I was to get paid on a Wednesday but as usual with this company they was no payment, tried contacting the manger to see why but got no reply and when I called payroll they told me I wasn’t on their system. When I tried to contact the manager again and he said they have lost my starter form. Went into work today and got told to go home as they had a new worker waiting.
Staff are also horrible to work with. Worse place I have work in my life. You can never get a hold of the manager, only time you hear from him is when he wants you to cover a shift.

This was my experience with Atlas FM. 
There was a team restructure shortly after a TUPE transfer so thing were more "aligned".
However, the service clearly became worse. I observed the facilities going a whole week without toilet cleaner and an incident with the fire alarm. My experience with management was they  appeared nice people at first. However, over time, they always said one thing and did another. They just kept on  contradicting themselves. Eventually, management became very hostile towards me. I feel that management practices ultimately became unethical and exploitative and they always blamed me and my colleagues for management mistakes. Overall, I wouldn't recommend working for this company to anybody.


Payment issues every month and was short every month, had to wait till next payday for you to be paid any owing money, then same again. 3 months paid all wrong, still owe me 7 hours.
holidays are paid when they want, booked mine before deadline date for them to be paid in my wage, didn't  go in.
cover was rubbish, was told on site, on there way, not be long or the best bit, they would not phone to see why change over is late.
So long as as office staff was paid, it was all ok.
no care and don't care attitude towards staff
communication is none existent, wages always wrong, holidays are paid when they want to pay you. no one seems to know what's going on in management side.

If your working to be paid, then these are not for you. keep away



Worse company I've ever worked for the manager was a control freak had no respect for certain staff me being one of them regardless of knowing certain personal situations she still found any excuse to call u in the office,  she constantly boasted about how many people she sacked to her staff trying to scare them she also got myself and other staff checking up on her boyfriend to see if he was chatting to another member of staff he worked along side but that was ok to do even tho it wasn't cleaning related she didn't mind that but she minded if staff had five minute breather for a drink   I'd never advise anyone to work for her shes in humans horrible person inside and outside .

What is the best part of working at the company?
I can name the worst - communication sucks 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management is very poor. It takes weeks and even months to answer to emails and take actions to raised enquiries. Always issues with payslips 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I was questioned Why I need holiday!!!! It's says everything about the environment and culture. Calling themselves BIG, but can't provide cover guards when necessary.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Do the minimum and go home. There is no point to do an extra mile, no-one will appreciate it.
