You feel part of the family within moments of starting and I truly believe that as employers go Avove is one of the best! constantly making their employees feel rewarded and also very conscious of giving back through charity days, fundraising and partnerships with meaningful charities.  To work at Avove is a pleasure and I would recommend taking that step - we are more than just an infrastructure and engineering company, we are a way of life and I am so grateful for the opportunities I have had so far!

Joining the company as a graduate has been a great experience. From my very first day, I felt welcomed and included as part of the team. The culture is incredibly supportive, and from my experience, the company values employee development.

I have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, which helps me grow. The work is engaging and pushes me to develop my skills, but it doesn't feel overwhelming, thanks to the strong support system in place.

Overall, it’s a fantastic environment for anyone looking to start their career in a place where they’re trusted, encouraged, and made to feel like they belong.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Absolute dog sht. They don't care about anyone working for them, just how much money is being made. They have no clue how to run a utilities company 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not knowing what the future holds. They haven't tried to stop half the direct staff from leaving, and give no incentives to stay.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The avove top nobs have sucked all the fun out of the job

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Do my work, won't go over the top, then go home

Here at Avove I feel supported by my manager and the leadership team to make decisions and that I am given the tools that I need to enable me to do my role well
I feel supported by the wider teams and find everyone here a pleasure to work with!

Something that Avove do that is fantastic is flexibility around working in the office and from home and being able to have a great work life balance.

From day one, I’ve felt welcomed and empowered by a team that’s truly invested in my success. The work itself is both challenging and rewarding, offering meaningful opportunities to push my boundaries and grow professionally. I’ve already noticed a real sense of development in my role, and I’m excited to continue building on that momentum.

Immediate manager is fair, appreciative  & accommodating . Always does his best to help. Those above however just don't get it. No people skills, not prepared to listen to staff teams. Antiquated in work ideas & patterns. Most of the workforce are looking for employment elsewhere.


I am really enjoying my time at Avove. No two days are the same. It is a real family feel business, people know each other personally at all seniority levels. I have flexibility from my manager to help me be a full time working mum. Avove has big growth aspirations, forward and open thinking. I can't wait to be part of what is to come.

Demoralising. Experience isn't valued not is quality of your work.
Workplace culture is not good from the top down.
All experienced staff have left or leaving.

Unorganised management. They were inconsiderate about me not living close to the yard with regards to a van or fuel allowance. However they put me through loads of courses and give me opportunities.
