I’m currently still working here as a 4on4off driver. I have worked at plenty of places and I find them all very much the same. Keep your head down and get on with your job, don’t toss it off and you’ll be fine. 

There are companies doing same work that pay more per hour. But, in all honesty all these companies pay differently. What I mean is one might higher hourly pay but overtime might be not great! Whereas others it will be half decent pay and overtime much higher. So at the end of the day the pay won’t be much different. All I would say is the company should increase the meal allowance and offer a sick pay scheme. Nobody should have to save money from their pay to compensate when the may be ill. 

Also, the average holiday is pants! They only pay average holiday pay for 14 days on 4on4off & 20 days on mon-fri contract. All bank holidays are not paid at average pay if you are off! But, if worked are paid at double time. 

So in all they just need to sort sick pay, average holiday pay for all leave days and meal allowance. Then I’d say this goes from a decent place to work to the best tanker job in the city of Liverpool. 

IF HONEST THERE IS NO TYPICAL DAY AT WORK, EVERY DAY IS FULL OF CHALLENGES, IT IS VERY HARD TO PUT MY JOB IN WRITING, WE MOVE SLUDGE AROUND WITH OUR MAIN CUSTOMER BEING THAMES WATER, BUT THEY HAVE MANY RECEPTION SITE ISSUES SO WE ARE FOREVER DIVERTING OUR VEHICLES THROUGHOUT THE DAY, LUCKY WE DO HAVE A GOOD STRONG TEAM TO HELP WITH THE CHALLENGES WE FACE, THE HARDEST PART OF THE JOB IS FINDING HOMES FOR ALL DEMAND PLAN SLUDGE WITH THE RECEPTION SITES WE HAVE AVAILABLE.  WE HAVE ALOT OF AD HOC EVERYDAY TO DEAL WITH

Work changed all the time to look after certain drivers 
There training is bad surprised no one is dead yet
Management is extremely poor
Hardest part is the planning as it is so bad
Most enjoyable thing about the job is going home 

overall working at BP Mckeefry was a good experience my co-workers were a good team and made the work more enjoyable. The management of the company could be improved slightly but all together the company is a good company to join and work for.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The money is good and the kit is all new 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Getting up in the morning and doing a days work 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Long hard work driving long time

Very stressful hours always being chased the slightest thing their on you 
Planners are rude and arrogant 
Not a tramping job as told it was 
Definitely not a nice company when you leave if you don’t hand everything back your wages get held
