I wish to express my candid observations and experiences during my tenure at the company that assumed control of operations at a site where I was previously employed. My initial optimism, based on the company's size, was unfortunately diminished as I witnessed various challenges and shortcomings within the organizational structure.

Despite the initial assurances of collaboration and cooperation, the company's approach left much to be desired. There appeared to be a reluctance to consider and incorporate the opinions and concerns of the workforce, leading to a perceived lack of responsiveness to critical issues. The management team, particularly at the site level, seemed resistant to constructive feedback and failed to address identified problems.

Concerns over management practices were accentuated by an apparent disregard for employee well-being and safety. Instances where site managers demonstrated inflexibility and a lack of foresight were notable. The failure to proactively address essential needs, such as proper scheduling, ordering of materials, and adherence to safety requirements, reflected a concerning managerial approach.

I raised concerns about inventory management and safety compliance, advocating for a more systematic approach to ordering supplies and enforcing safety protocols. Unfortunately, these concerns were not adequately addressed, leading to operational challenges and compromised working conditions, especially during extreme weather conditions.

Furthermore, issues related to staffing levels were a recurring challenge. The frequent understaffing, despite voiced concerns, led to operational inefficiencies. This was particularly evident in tasks requiring more personnel, such as bus cleaning, where the shortage of staff impacted the quality and timeliness of services rendered.

The hiring process also raised concerns, as it appeared to rely heavily on internal referrals rather than a comprehensive and merit-based selection procedure. This approach resulted in instances of unqualified individuals being hired, causing disruptions to shift schedules and compromising the overall efficiency of the team.

Additionally, the environment under the co-supervisor's leadership during my temporary role was unsatisfactory. There was a perceived lack of engagement, failure to meet expectations, and inappropriate communication styles, contributing to a challenging work atmosphere.

Despite my commitment and efforts to fulfill responsibilities, I felt let down by the management's failure to address systemic issues within the organization. The inadequate compensation for challenging outdoor conditions and the absence of a provided bus pass for employees were additional aspects that impacted the overall work experience negatively.

In conclusion, my time with the company was marked by numerous challenges, from managerial shortcomings to operational inefficiencies. I believe addressing these issues would contribute to a more positive and productive work environment for all employees involve

Bidvest Noonan operates with a disturbing disregard for ethics and basic decency. They seem to view employees as expendable resources, not as individuals with needs, families, and lives. Management’s approach is cold and dismissive, and there is a distinct lack of empathy, especially when dealing with employees’ concerns or hardships.

No Consideration for Wellbeing:
The company’s indifference toward employee health and wellbeing is particularly concerning. Concerns about workplace health and safety are routinely brushed aside, and when employees raise issues, they are often ignored or told to "just get on with it." It’s alarming that they seem to have no comprehensive policies or genuine interest in ensuring a safe, supportive work environment.

Minimal Support, Maximum Expectations:
Bidvest Noonan expects employees to give 110% without providing adequate support or resources. The workloads are often overwhelming, and there’s no recognition or appreciation for hard work or dedication. Any notion of work-life balance is almost non-existent, with employees often left feeling burned out, undervalued, and completely replaceable.

A Toxic Culture:
Morale is low, and the company culture is bleak. There’s a severe lack of communication, and feedback is either ignored or dismissed outright. Employees aren’t valued, and the high turnover speaks volumes about how the company treats people. It’s an environment filled with negativity, stress, and dissatisfaction.

Wouldn’t Recommend, Even to My Worst Enemy:
To put it plainly, I would not recommend working at Bidvest Noonan to anyone. The experience has left me completely disillusioned, and I genuinely regret the time I spent there. If you value your wellbeing, professional growth, and mental health, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

For anyone considering a position at Bidvest Noonan, think carefully and weigh your options. In my experience, this is a company that takes far more than it gives, with little regard for the people making their success possible.

The company clearly has internal issues. Pay department never paid my wages correctly even though I was salaried. The pay negotiated in the interview was not the pay that was delivered, even though I was informed pay rate was negotiatable. Struggled to get basic things like laptops and passwords. You can't talk to anyone over the phone, it has to be done through their internal mailing system which takes many days to get a response. I ended up being made redundant four months into the role along with four other people, my job was then advertised out a week later at a lower rate of pay and a lower grade title. It was the first time I'd ever worked for Bidvest Noonan, and unfortunately will be the last. My personal experience of them over the four short months I worked for them was extremely poor, definitely not a company that puts people first as they claim in their job advertisements.

My typical day at work I work days so I clean engineers pits at Doncaster first bus depot I do some college areas on occasion and sweap the bus yard but anyway the management is horrible manager is never on site and never checks in on people who work days and the only person in charge of days in one supervisor and that's it so maangment are bad because they never pay their staff properly and staff members not too long ago went out on an picket line strike but legislation was that first bus emploees including 3rd party contractors should get paid the fair living wage and we only got minimum wage but also management never order you any uniform all I got was hand me down from other employees who worked there and you don't get any praise or appreciation for your work I always get nagged and builled when working in the depot by other staff members I always try my hardest but they never listen and manager always complaining aswell enjoyable part of job is looking forward to my days off so yeah definitely not worth it .

very toxic for those who are academically qualified as you are being looked as a threat. If promotion would have been based on the basic of competency and qualifications, more that half of those who are actually in a manegerial position should be reverted.IT IS WHO WHO KNOW AND WITH WHOM YOU ASSOCIATE WITH THAT GET YOU PROMOTED.

VERY STRESSFUL AND UNHEALTHY. The world is evolving however some of the inplace managers are working hard to make the company move backward

Working at Bidvest Noonan has been a mixed experience, but overall it leaves a lot to be desired. Employees deserve to be compensated properly for their time, especially when it comes to taking well-earned rest. Unfortunately, management seems disorganized and often fails to communicate clearly, which creates unnecessary stress across teams. Decisions are sometimes made without consulting staff, leaving workers feeling undervalued and ignored. Morale is low, and many employees feel like they are just numbers rather than people. While some colleagues are supportive and the job itself can be straightforward, these positives are outweighed by poor leadership and a lack of respect for workers’ rights. With better management and fair treatment, the company could improve greatly, but right now it falls short

As a detention officer my duties involved maintaining the welfare of detained persons whilst in custody and enforcing their legal rights and entitlements. I have developed as an employee and learnt a high level of focus as well as how to interact with different types of people. Working for Noonan involves working within the custody suites of police stations, therefore the professionalism with this job is of a high standard. The management at Noonan maintain a professional standard whilst working in co ordination with other staff members. The challenges the job presents involve interacting with several different types of people in several different, sometimes hostile, situations. The most enjoyable part of the job is working alongside other detention officers, police officers and sergeants to complete the job at hand in a professional manner.

Work is stressful, no support from management or contact apart from when an issue happens.
Management and above is non exsitant.
As a supervisor expected to do manager or area manager job to deal with issue on your own.
People you work with can be great and make the job enjoyable.
Hardest part is no support and no chance to promote through the company. You get praise but is not meaninful on the rare occasion, but as soon as something is not right they are straight on the phone trying to cover up for themselves.
Enjoyable part is the team you work with at times or end of shift when going home.
Avoid working for this company poorly managed.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Worst job I've ever had didn't pay on time was only getting half pay when it came then the amount was added onto the next wage which meant I made to much do money was taken off me so wasn't even getting the right wage! The area manager wasn't very helpful or and didn't seem to know her job and talked to us like she was in the pub not as work colleagues. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not getting the proper wage, and having to ask all the time to get it sorted.

Work environment was ok as noonan didn't own the business we worked in.
