A typical day at work would involve setting up the pool facilities (including lane-ropes and flags) followed by monitoring the customers participating in the class. At regular intervals the lifeguards on duty would swap and participate in other tasks; one example is working in the cafe - this was great experience with customer interaction and till operation. At the end of the shift I would clean the changing facilities to a high standard.
I learned the required professionalism and focus required to function effectively in a working environment.
Both the management and my co-workers were extremely welcoming and helpful when I first began working there. For the duration of my time working there the management was extremely accommodating and allowed flexibility between employees in relation to shift allocation.
The hardest part of the job in my opinion was controlling the public who were on poolside for observation of classes, i.e. mobile phones for child protection and miss-use of pool-shoes for health and safety.
The most enjoyable part of the job is definitely the unadulterated joy expressed by the younger swimmers - this aspect of the job is extremely rewarding.  

Management change things around a lot not guaranteed to stay on same area from one month to next.uniform very strict must wear what they say even though they not paying for it .new manager likes to change the way we clean and pulls you over the smallest thing the odd cobweb etc you do it is way as he knows best according to him even if you've worked there for 20+ years he still knows best☹️

Good place to work,caring upper management,but line management at ground floor level,could improve there communication to all staff.friendly caring enviroment

Amazing place to work, all the staff are friendly and there to help. Every managment team is respectful, organised, hard working and wants to accommodate you the best they can. On site parking. Close to town centre. 100% recommend

All staff were very friendly and I settled in quickly. I felt I was given enough time to complete tasks and everything I needed was provided. All in all I enjoyed my time working there.

Bolton school is a great place to work, it's challenging at times, but nether the less a good place.
Everyone helps each other and all  of my direct line managers were really nice and understanding.
