I currently work for Bondcare and can honestly say I have never worked for a better company. A typical day at work is busy and rewarding, with strong teamwork throughout the homes and genuine support from the top. I have learned so much professionally since working here and have always been encouraged to grow and develop within my role.

The company directors and are some of the most thoughtful, understanding and respectful people I have worked with. Every member of staff is treated equally and with kindness, from cleaners and carers through to nurses and clinical leads. You genuinely feel valued and appreciated for the work you do.

The workplace culture is supportive, professional and caring, with a real focus on both resident wellbeing and staff wellbeing. The hardest part of the job is that care work can be emotionally demanding at times, but the support from colleagues and above makes a huge difference. The most enjoyable part is knowing you are making a positive impact every single day and being part of such a compassionate team.

I would highly recommend Bondcare to anybody looking for a caring, respectful and supportive workplace.

Personally would stay away from working in this home, there's a reason the staff turn over is so high. It's truly a shame, as the majority of the residents, families and carer's here are lovely, and they deserve so much more than what they are given. If you're looking for a job where you feel valued by your seniority, this is not the place not unless you're lucky enough to get into the managements "cliché".
 Decent training, although you had to do it in your own time at home, was told you'd be paid for it only for you to then chase the management for said training pay. More than often the training site crashes, thus one file that theoretically should take an hour to complete ends up taking 3 hours, and you're only paid for the hour. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO support from management was so ever, you're left in the blue when you want advice or are just told to suck it up and carry on, should anything go wrong while you're on shift the blame is instantly pinned you and your team, management never own up to their own mistakes. Majority of the shifts are covered by incompetent agency workers, so you end up having to do the job of 3 workers in one shift. Promise you the chances of working on all aspects from Residential, to Nursing to Dementia, you end up being thrown onto a floor and will most likely stick to that floor until you decide to jump the ship.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The service is consistently unstaffed, which puts pressure on permanent staff and impacts the quality of care. Rotas are frequently changed, without adequate notice , make it difficult for a work life balance. Service users have allocated hours included in their care packages, however these hours are often not staffed. This means individuals miss out support and activities they are entitled to which is unfair and disappointing for them, and frustrating for staff. 
Agency staff are used sometimes but are not trained, and dont do anything. Communication is poor from Management, doors  always closed. Staff do not feel supported, or welcomed, creates a toxic working environment. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Culture is toxic with very low staff morale . Staff concerns are not listened to. Often dismissed or talked over. Staff are not valued or respected. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
12 hours shifts long days and nights  wi th no  breaks or support.
Training poor. No moving handling training .

I worked at Cleveland View for 6 months as Activity Coordinator and only left due to another job offer that did provide a substantial amount more of a salary including further development and learning opportunities.

Management were fantastic in valuing my role and ensuring that activity provision for residents was a key priority,

Equally all staff were all supportive and made me feel welcome and included as part of the staff team at all times.

The culture of the home was one of expectation that all staff provided person centred care and ensured the dignity of all residents was paramount, this was the ethos of management and a requirement.

Cleveland View is unique in that it provides support for those that may have not been as settled in other residential settings  including the provision of respite and care of a 'younger' client group requiring care and additional support with wellbeing.

I have over the years worked within other residential care settings however Cleveland View has been the most welcoming and encouraging with regard to my role as Activity Coordinator.

I would in the future have no hesitation in going back to work at Cleveland View.

I start at 19:45 and take hand over from management. 
I book the staff in to work the night shift. 
I’m usually running a unit, so I will prepare to do the night medication, after the service users have had supper. I administer the night medication. 
I then do any tasks that have been asked of me by day staff. Then I would do a unit walk round. The most enjoyable part of my job is getting to know the service users. 
I then do a medication check on units. 
Complete return to works with the staff of do supervisions if due. At 04.00 am the team of nurses have a meeting to discuss the service users and any concerns and course of action. I would then check the units again(manager walk round) . 
At 06.30 I get ready to do medication round and complete the handover for the unit I’m running. Take any further concerns from nurses and nursing assistants . Complete medication for unit I’m on. 
Do walk round with nurse on the unit that day. Go to the office and do handover of the home with the day managers and go home. I have learned such a lot at Bromford and will always be great full for the opportunity’s I have had working there. 

I worked there for a long while.
Management was bad in terms of communication, manager said one thing deputy said another. 
Most of the people you work with are talking behind your back. 
Residents personal care is usually kept on top of well however you find yourself always picking up after previous shifts. 
They have no benifits in terms of work and overtime is expected not thanked for. 
Management are so focused on the aesthetics of the home rather than the people in it. 
Admin was bullied out the office and replaced by someone who isn't qualified other than the fact she's best friends with the deputy and keeps saying she'll leave in order to get a pay rise. She was previously activities and she favoured some residents to others and lied about what she had done with them in paper work. 
Management listens to gossip and believes it. 
Staff laugh and joke about residents. 

Always short on staff on days and nights making people exhausted. And that's without extra shifts. 
Staff get a disciplinary action for things as little as looking for another job or something being relayed to management which has been twisted. 

As a senior carer i was expected to do the deputys job. Endless list of task to complete which was basically impossible. 
Never any staff. I worked here for just over three months and more staff left than what started. They employed dangerous staff which i had no option but to report directly to CQC as they did nothing. 
Always working with agency. They used the cheapest agency they could find meaning agency staff wernt appropiatly trained. I often worked units on my own! 
Only on one occasion was my pay correct. Having to chase them every month for money owed to me. 
Staff couldnt phone in sick without the deputy asking millions of questions and still telling you to come in (one occasion a girl phoned in with tonsilitus and had a temp, they still forced her to come in with a temp of over 38!! I sent her straight back home due to COVID) 
I never received any training from the company luckily i had done the job before so i was lucky enough to know what i was doing. Others wernt so fortunate. 
Over all oakpark was just a shambles i wouldnt trust them to run a bath never mind a care home.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Very supportive to all staffs,most especially newly qualified nurses.
The management team listened to your concerns and act on.
Iam having the best time of my career with Bondcare.


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
For me Is just the distance from my home using public transport but I can’t figure out one thing that stress me working in Bondcare.i loved working there and I’m enjoying every bit of my time,always looking forward to go to work as a newly qualified nurse.

Everyday is not the same
But the days that are busy,staffs are happy to give you a helping hand.in Bondcare all staffs including management worked together and provide the best care for the residents.each staff is working towards efficient care for the residents..

Since joining Allan Court 21st November 2022, the team and Regional Manager has been extremely supportive and welcoming, never have I worked for a company where I have experienced such a warm welcome from senior management & staff. 
 
Joining Bondcare at Allan Court has been like a true breath of fresh air, something I had never experience as my time as a manager within the care sector. 
 
My RM has been available to myself at any time, to openly advised me and always willing to mentor me to bring out the fullest of my potential so we can work in partnership to excel & heighten the reputation that Allan Court already has. It has been refreshing in my experience to receive such positive feedback which is shared with me on a weekly basis. For a regional manager to ask, ‘is everything ok’, ‘where can I help or assist’ is a welcomed new experience to me. I have been supported & guided through situations as a new manager I hadn’t encountered previously, providing clear direction, support & encouragement.


Most shifts felt like you was carrying the agency staff some who had little or no hands on care experience of using hoists and slide sheets. The Nurse or care practitioner on duty never gave in house care staff allocated breaks tho in house staff had to cover agency staff breaks. In house staff breaks are also unpaid. Best part of the job was the residents. Units are extremely busy places to work so all staff need to be team players during the shifts unfortunately at times this wasn't the case as some staff would divide the unit in to two making you work alone with residents who needed two staff for their care. Pay was ok compared to other care settings when it was correct but if you're pay was wrong the new HR lady in payroll department is extremely dismissive & difficult to deal with making you feel like your begging for your pay asif you're pay was coming out of her own pocket!!! Hr needs training on how to treat staff better! I Suggest a customer service training course for hr is very much needed!!!
