Alright on the whole as far as security companies go, however the pay was sometimes late, in some cases it was late by a month, and in one case where I did them a favour travelling an hour from my home to cover another job for them at short notice, I worked a shift at a promised rate and received half the agreed ammount and it was 5 weeks befor I even saw that much. Some venues had teammates who were lax at their jobs, didnt screen customers well enough and at a Bristol venue a customer with a knife managed to get passed 3 staff members and a metal detector befor I searched them properly and found it. Contacting higher ups is virtually impossible sometimes, ure job and safety can be risky depending on where u go and how seriously u take ure job, and the ammount of shirt fillers is impressive, although that's a global issue in the industry now so it's nottheir fault. That being said... the company are better than most of the average security companies out there atm, they do have some employees who know their stuff and will have ure back, and they dont lie to ure face when they say they have short changed you.. they say they have and apologise. So.. give them a go and see if it's betterthan the other companies out there, personally I think their on the better end of the spectrum, even if it does sound bad.

I got the job because I worked for the previous area manager before and she asked me to join. It’s only weekend work so not enough to live on but it’s extra money to top up my salary. Always paid on time but occasionally it’s not correct. Don’t get payslips but always work available. There’s been sometimes I haven’t had shifts but that was because the area manager left but after a few months the new one called me up and I work every weekend. Been a few hiccups along the way but otherwise ok. I do get sent all over the place. Would like to have a set venue, otherwise fine. I have a cp license but work on doors of venues on weekends. A lot better than my other retail security job (I work for 3 companies)
Can be stressful when there’s an incident but that’s part of the job. Generally no problems working for bridgegate. 
Some of the staff are lazy or not good otherwise fine.

Typically the team begins at 10pm, my colleagues and i are supervising the clients as they are queuing. Removal of intoxicated clients from the Que and inside, breaking up any fights that occur, detaining miscreants for the police and administering first aid to any victims of alcohol and violence. As a door supervisor my primary role is to limit any confrontations on the inside and surrounding areas by refusing entry to clients who are known to the staff as trouble makers and anyone compromised by alcohol. All persons seeking entry to the clubs are requested to show formal identification as proof of age. We are there for the safety of the public and our fellow members of staff and have to be ready to deal with any situation as it arises, secondly to ensure the club makes money by having a safe and happy atmosphere where clients are happy to stay.

The best part about working for Bridgegate is that they're very accommodating regarding working hours and shift patterns.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I didn't find it stressful working for Bridgegate because all the staff members that I worked with were great at their jobs, and we all had each other's backs.

When I worked at Bridgegate, the working environment and culture were characterised by camaraderie, with everyone being pleasant and professional at all times.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day at Bridgegate involved working at a nightclub with all the associated issues and problems.

Working from 9 pm until 2-3 am on Friday,Saturday nights mainly but also some Sundays prior to Bank holidays and nights during Christmas.Smart appearance required but coat, tie and high visibility jacket provided by the employer. Free parking behind some night clubs available. Opportunity to meet all types of people from all walks of life. As a security officer you have to carry out body frisks, check handbags and toilets for knives and drugs. There can often be first aid emergencies and you need to be prepared to contact the emergency services. There can also often be some challenging behavior which you may have to deal with. However there is good team work and organisation to help keep everyone safe. You may work inside and also on the Door.

I have worked for bridgegate for over 4-5 years its probably the best company I have ever been working for I live in Leicester I started off from pubs and clubs moved to hotels and then did subway and did street marshal work for about 4 years my area manager is brilliant he has always helped me if I had any problems or if I needed extra work and he always use to check up on me regular while I was working to make sure I'm alright. Definitely recommend bridgegate I give them 5 stars..

I fell  really safe where I work the team that I’m working along side are all friendly and helpful , as I’m new to the  security Industry I am very grateful for all of the help and guidance that I get from the team that I work with .
The wages is always in your account when they say it will be there .
There’s always good and bad points for every company but for me they have helped me get my experience that I need I’m grateful to them for giving me the job opportunity  as they have  taught me so much over the time I have been with the company.

Before I started with this company, I heard mixed reviews from people. But as always you have to make up your own mind and see it for yourself, so I did. 
I've had absolutely no issues whatsoever with this company! Been there for 4yrs, they've looked after me in terms of work, and it has all been very professional on both sides. 

They give me the hours if they are available, and it's not difficult really is it?!?! 
You do your hours, be part of a team, do a good job, enjoy your work and get paid on a set day, job done. 


It's extremely easy to get hold of someone from HR, if there should be any issues, they get resolved immediately.

ok so id start work at ten o clock every Thur,Fri,Sat night and finish at about half past two.I go in make sure the owner/manager is ok then id sign in with the cctv,once thats done i put my other co workers in position in side the venue.we normally have a nice night were every one is happy.The hardest part of the job is if some one has had to much to drink or if there is an altercation inside if this does occur then myself or my co workers will deal with it accordingly.
For me the best part of the job is to know every one has had a happy and safe night.

The area manager can be arrogant and patronising. Don't ever think that the venue you are placed at will be your prement venue as he will move you around venues which will change your working hours. They remove £7 off your wages for insurance without telling you and have to jump through hoops to claim on it.

The self implode payment manger is exactly the same as the area manager and think they are better than the other staff. You will be constantly under staffed at venues and don't bother trying to phone the area manager he never picks up but will get ahitty with you if you don't pick up his phone call
