BC as a whole is an established and interesting organisation and I believe they are the best at promoting, managing and delivering cycling as a sport in the UK. Their brand management team however (which I hope they have replaced) was awful. Daily occurrences were: back talk, comments based on your body size, micromanaging design unnecessarily, laying out work and carrying out ideas as it if was still 1980. Nothing but zero experience in professional design management and awkward behaviours is what I can remember. I suggest you do some good research on who's currently running the brand&design team before you get into a design job with them.

A typical day included clearing space in the workshop for new equipment. I learnt to work more effectively with other members of a work team. The best part of the job was getting to see the end result of the workshop after it had been refitted with the new equipment.

Always busy, good line managers - my position was for a particular event.  This was a very demanding role.  Took the whole process of advertising for volunteers, selection, recruiting, shift planning, resource number planning, volunteer welfare.

Welcoming and professional staff. Worked as a soft tissue therapist so was given access to the diary to see which athletes were booked in for treatments. Well organised and very much a team environment.

Changed cycle parts.
Laid out track course.
Handled timing boards and recorded details.
This has given me experience of using correct tools for the job and care for components.

Fantastic place to work with good people however the salary did not match the workload and there wasn’t much room for progression.
A positive environment to work in.

this job has provided me with extra qualifications and has allowed me to prove i have good planning and time management skills. Hardest part of the job is when you cant get out and coach in the poor weather!!!

management style was lead from the bottom. This was tough as there was little direction, or accountability for middle management. It wasn't clear what success was, apart from more members

Great organization to work for. Fabulous opportunities to work at a development level with junior and academy squads, right the way through to Olympic medal winning athletes.

Very supportive and flexible environment where everyone learns from each other and strives to improve best practice. Plenty of CPD opportunities and clear company ethos.
