The management at this company are really good.So its a surprise that most of their contracts are minimum wage with possibly the worst operatives I have ever come across,apart from a handful.
The amazing thing is though,that they think they are a cut above the rest!
Most of the operatives concentrate on futile health and safety matters and don't seem to have a clue concerning even basic security.
The management will invest in training certain people,but the poor wages really doesn't motivate the guards.
Some of these people can actually sleep standing up.Im not joking.
Most of the sites are uninteresting and if you work for this company,you will end up questioning your sanity.
Most of the operatives are unfriendly,unprofessional,have weird and wonderful ideas relating to security and have a really fake sarcastic sense of humour.Most can't even fill in a DOB,or spell correctly.
Stay well clear of these operatives.They are the lowest of the low,possibly worse than Norse.
I feel sorry for the management,as they really do have their work cut out with these imbeciles.
I would personally sack the lot of them and start again.
Woeful operatives!!!!

I worked on a very specific contract which meant daily split shifts but no weekend work. Early starts which can be tiring but because of this particular contract I only worked 9 months of the year with most of the time off in the summer months. On interview the hours weren’t made clear & it did turn out that staff employed to do the same contract but at a different location worked less hours but got the same salary which did grate a bit. I had to work closely with another contractor so it’s important that you can get on well with other people (occasionally difficult characters) Generally I found if I just got on with the job then management were happy to leave me to it & didn’t really get involved much unless asked to but don’t expect much in the way of a ‘well done’. As far as senior management…I’m not even sure they know the job exists.!! 

I worked for broadland for a while now and have come across huge amount of bullying in the work place from controller on days and management. They also love to expect you to split yourself in 4 and try fill in other routes and miss brakes during mobile, iv lost count how many times i have not been able to have a brake during working, due to drivers being off and having to pick there patrol route up and my own plus lock ups, also just the management piling more work on the route your on expecting you to do it with out problem when you cant.

the team for mobile was great till recently and they fired / lost drivers now there not great.

I had the misfortune to work for this company for just over a year and in that time I was exposed to bullying management, backstabbing colleagues, pettiness, and a level of micromanagement I have yet to experience anywhere else.

Flexibility bends only one way in this company. Rules and laws are frequently broken and even encouraged until something goes wrong, then you will be thrown under the bus.

The best part of this job was handing in my notice and the hardest part was trying to predict which way the client or management would turn next, so be prepared for inconsistency.

The hardest part of this role is I am unable to develop myself further 
The most enjoyable part of this role is helping others and interacting with both children and adults.

Good company to work for, fantastic reliable group of colleagues, a relaxed hard working environment with everybody getting stuck in. Lot's of opportunity for overtime.

I learnt a great deal from this job, the only downfall was there was no chance to develop myself further which was my only reason for leaving after 4 solid years.

Low standard of training however my co-workers made sure I got the hang of things.

Normal working for industry of, 4 on, 4 off 12 hour shifts.
The difference working for this company compared to others I have worked for, is you are respected and made to feel part of a team.
Managers work with us and know the job and challenges we have. Security work is the same where ever you are, but you can always get hold of your manager and they help as much as possible.
Would be nice is wages could be higher, but inline with other work in the area.

Been with this company for a good few years now and have always been treated with respect and looked after.
I have had the chance to gain qualifications and learn new skills.
I found, if you give your managers 100%, they give it back and support you no matter what. Even when things don't go to plan team work get the job done.

You will not go wrong with this company.

I worked for these cowboys and I'm amazed they still have this contract. I can only guess that the rumours are right and a few back ganders are handed over.
Low wages, childish back stabbing staff and a management team that are only concerned with looking after their own mates ensuring anyone out of the "circle" get the worst shifts.
My advice, give this company a wide berth.

Mangagement are 2 faced, lie to you all the time. Never get any thanks or real praise for anything. My mate was offered full time work and it was given to someone else - and found out from the cleaners! You ask for extra hours and never get them., but they expect you to work at the drop of a hat. The other guards are good when you see them, but management are god-awful. watch you back for the knife coming at it
