There was a lack of any kind of integration plan to help new starters settle into the business, it was very much being thrown into the deep end and be expected to swim. Support from line managers and those around you was very minimal and asking questions of senior members of your team was frowned upon. Once the probation period is passed, things change very quickly, you are expected to perfect, any issues are highlighted to others and scrutinised at depth. Average working hours per day 9-10 hours. What I will say, is the offices are excellent, but currently being redeveloped floor by floor. 

Although I was only at the firm for a 2 week placement, I found the experience highly enjoyable and was able to gain a strong insight into life at the firm. Everyone seems to enjoy their work and the hours for a commercial firm are great. The work is interesting, although sometimes more regional than I was hoping for, and the firm has a very strong ethos.

Great workplace for outgoing individuals, a wide range of activities and initiatives to participate in. CST wear several hats and occasionally work with fee earners. Staying late is not common at CST level.

The firm is great overall and the people are lovely. Work is interesting generally and increasingly has high profile clients. With that comes less of a work life balance and more unpredictable hours including evenings and the occasional weekend, but that's kept to a relative minimum 

Very welcoming team members that assisted me in enjoying and benefitting from 5 days of work experience at the firm. I was given trainee tasks although I was only a student at the time, which gave me an insight into the work of the legal world.

Excellent firm to work for. They really care about inclusivity and their employees. However, the pay is starting to lag behind competitors. However, for me, the gap is small enough that it is better to work somewhere I can be happy. 

Internal I.T. force has been poorly trained, young and inexperienced outside B&S, with limited life experience and limited knowledge of the world and technology.

Care and consideration is taken and everyone is very interesting. Bear in mind though, I was a volunteer working with them. They were very determined and kind individuals though.

You have the benefit of the name for progression opportunities elsewhere but there is little direction within the company itself - co workers were lovely but could feel cliquey 

A great place to work, friendly staff and relaxed but professional atmosphere. Lots of social clubs and different ways to get involved outside the office.
