A first class business set up with strong leadership characteristics and communication values. Id identify CMA CGM as a key player in maritime logistics and encourage anyone to work for them, As an employee I'm thoroughly impressed by how everyone lines up behind the key strategic pillars and the drive beat and set new targets.

Day to day procedures follow a set pattern but changes in the logistics sector require you to use a diverse range of skills to adapt to unforeseen circumstances. No two weeks are the same.

I've learned a great deal via a steep learning curve! Initially settling in and getting to grips with the enormity of my role was daunting but self confidence was soon gained.

Many of my colleagues share a similar personality, everyone is thoroughly professional and has incredible trust in one another.

The hardest part of the job would be the unpredictability that makes long term organisation next to impossible.

Lastly the most enjoyable part of the job is is at the end of the week you come away knowing you've gained more knowledge and feel valued and appreciated.

This would be the worst place I have worked, customer service team.
No training provided at all, even if you ask numerous amounts of times they still never would provide any, which makes the job very disheartening, others would say the same. Honestly the training is beyond poor. 
Super dull job
The company is more quantity over quality.
The managers are very clannish with each other and you can hear them talk negatively about members of staff in front of other members of staff, quite passive aggressive sometimes. 
Lack of empathy for customers.
No empathy for members of staff going through difficult times.
There is an extremely high turn over of staff due to low office moral.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Money is very good job is clean and dry and all container work

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Well they use ur own WhatsApp number and only communicate via that platform it just didn't suit me.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not the  best between the drivers and the office bad atmosphere and very unorganised when doing my induction don't give u any info and it's monthly pay.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Average container drop and swap and most drops not much handball mainly driving.

Environment is very repetitive and boring. Managers act as if they are too good to interact with the employees and the managers make the supervisors handle everything. It is a call center environment. The management puts their needs before all else. Attendance policy is unreasonable. The VIP department gets blamed for everything. There were nice benefits. Most departments make $17-$20 an hour. No weekends. Just not a very interesting industry or place to work. Goodluck trying to move up, you have to wait 15months before you can apply to a different department.

Its an ok place to work. 
You don’t have much freedom in how you do your work , everything is being controlled by HO. 

Biggest frustration is senior management who don’t listen and the “if your face fits” attitude. 

Women will have a great advancement in career opportunities. 

Great place to work, great people, plenty of career progression opportunities in and out of the country,  and great management. Learned a lot, felt valued there, and met a lot of good people. Yearly bonus and great benefits. 

I started working in cma cgm since 2008 as ordinary seaman until i made it through to 2nd officer in 2014. Since i will move and join my wife in the uk i stop sailing in cma cgm. It was the only company that i work and still the best company for me.

Good company. Covered multiple task throughout day. Learned a lot about shipping and logistics. Good management. Nice culture. Hardest part of the job was being made redundant and most enjoyable was working with colleagues.
