I have had the privilege of working for Capital on Tap for the past few years, and I can confidently say that it has been an incredible journey. This company has not only provided me with a fulfilling career but has also shown an unwavering commitment to its employees and customers. I have worked at Capital on Tap for 6 months and I can honestly say it has been a fantastic experience. This is a company that really cares about it's employees, their well being and their success. 

The onboarding is geared towards ingratiating you in to the culture. It is a generous two weeks and in that time you learn about the company, your job role and your team. 

The managers are great, chosen based on their people and leadership skills, which makes you feel like you have someone knowledgeable and understanding that you can rely on.

I feel it is very easy to work hard and give your all because the teams really champion each other to be the best and hard work is appreciated and does not go unrewarded. 

Lots of social and learning events are put on weekly, with lectures and discussions on all areas of diversity, politics, economics, and many more. You get £1000 learning budget to spend each year to develop your skills.

This is a company that celebrates diversity and everyone works hard to make you feel included and understood.

There are challenges and sometimes things don't work as you want them to but CoT works quickly and with teams to develop and fix issues as they arise. You feel part of the solution as ideas and suggestions from everyone are taken on board to improve service and day to day working. 

We also have dogs at the office, which is so great, just when you are having a tough day to look down and see a wagging tail and sweet face looking up at you wanting to have a scratch!

This is a great company to work for and develop at, there are lots of opportunities and I feel I am a part of something that is ahead of the game. I am very happy!

I joined the Cardiff Customer Service operation and became immediately aware of the welcoming and enthusiastic culture that the company has. A few months in and I've really been made to feel part of the team.

I've spent the job training period + most of my time settling into the role working from home. Despite these challenges, the team has worked hard to support everyone in the circumstances, and the workplace culture has meant that everyone has been incredibly supportive of each other.

Work can be varied, from taking calls to solving queries via email and taking ownership of customer queries + accounts. Having previously been in call centre roles, this job at CoT involves a lot more variety, and I genuinely feel that I will receive support and can develop and progress to other parts of the business if I'm willing to put in the work.

The job can be challenging when it comes to dealing with a variation of queries + dealing with unfriendly customers/clients, but the support is undoubtedly in place for this.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the naturally fun culture that runs through the business. Particularly being part of the Cardiff operation, there are frequent social events happening, even remotely during lockdown, and the work life balance is truly recognised.

There is a great culture at CoT and the values are exhibited daily all around the business by individuals which makes it such a welcoming environment to work in. 

There are plenty of opportunities for internal progression and development, which is encouraged by senior management in all areas of the business. I started in 2020 and received all the support to advance and develop within my role, but to also grow as an individual! The big part for me is the support network that has been developped throughout working from home in these uncertain times, which has been a great confidence boost. 

The people definitely make the job what it is today and having such a great team around you really does help you through a difficult day. People are hired not only off their previous work experience, but also from their values as a person and if they align with the company values - which makes for such a positive work based environment. 

For example, in my cohort of new-joiners we had people who had little to 0 experience in the Contact Centre customer service environment, but were accepted because their values aligned with the business and you can always teach someone how to do the operational side of things - which is great as you can see Capital on Tap really do their best to help people improve. 

I joined Capital on Tap and was immediately welcomed and supported by everyone there! You're given great training and support during induction and you feel well prepared to start taking calls. Everyone was willing to help out and offer help! 

Office culture is fantastic and weekly team meetings and town halls notify you of what's going on at the company and gives everyone a chance to ask questions and pose new ideas! Your opinion is valued here and anything said will be passed along and discussed. Rewards and incentives are achievable through hardworking.

Benefits are fantastic and Salary is competitive with opportunities to earn more via good work and internal hiring processes to better positions which are never hidden away from you! 

Shift patterns can be challenging due to the lateness of some shift patterns but patterns are rotated weekly so you never feel stuck. One weekend shift a month with either an extra day off or time and a half pay to compensate for this.

Overall a fantastic company to build a career with and a great support network! Highly recommend. 

-Management within some departments are very un-professional and don't acknowledge on how well you're doing, how far you're progressing, and the effort you're making for the areas of improvement

-Performance and adherence assessing non stop. Of course it's understandable to assess an employee's performance to show that the person is staying consistent or improving but beware that you're tracked even when you go to the toilet (affects attendance negatively) and if you have a big task to perform you're expected to execute it within the same time frame as a small task.

If you attend work even by 1 min late a few times just beware that you'll be fired regardless if it isn't your fault 

-A lot of processes and procedures to acknowledge and understand within your position

-Working environment is good and people are friendly

-Salary is good and there's a lot of room for progression

-Training provided is good and enjoyable unlike other workplaces




nice people, make you feel included from the jump. The good culture around customer service, good learning, and feedback doesn't feel like being told off which is rare in most customer service-based workplaces. People are praised and celebrated for their achievements and also, this is rare for office jobs, you're not compared to other great performers in the role for your failings, eg, the managers know what you're capable of and aren't unfair to you because others are progressing at a faster rate than you, the management training must be good because all the managers I've come across are very good at dealing with people as individuals as well as in teams, meaning your needs are always met in regards to support and general management.

The business is fact paced due to the nature of product and the current climate but everyone supports each other
We are always encouraged to improve and better ourselves 
There are long hours so the work life balance isn't the best, however, if you need time for anything like doctors, emergencies or just holidays, they are always supportive
I like the culture and the freedom to express yourself and come up with new ideas to help both the business and the customers
The best part of my role is my Manager is always helpful and supportive, encourages me to always improve 
The catchups every two weeks with the management team is great as it keeps everyone informed of what's going on in the business 

I have worked at Capital on Tap for 10 months now and love the company. There is a stress on the important of company values and they really do delivery on these as a business.  Majority of my time with the company has been during lockdown and I could not have not felt more supported by the company.

When I was introduced to the Cardiff office, there was talk from the beginning regarding progression and this happened very early on in my time with the company. 

The company is incredibly inclusive and social, there is always something going on whether that is drinks after work, a social activity or discussions and talks with those in the business sharing their experiences with others. 

It paints a great picture when you start given all the pros to a great work place, when you start working there you soon find that it not very family like, people do anything to step over you and tell a lot of lies, to succeed in this company it about who’s back side you kiss and suck up to a lot, People/Managers are snakes at every opportunity so if your skills poses a threat to someone be careful of the knife that will quickly appear in your back. Finally you not allowed to say anything in this company as everyone get offended by everything so you likely to be pulled in a room and shot down for having an option.

Really could be an epic place but too many snowflakes that ruin it for everyone else
