I worked here for 2 years, the company is awful too work for. I was treated differently when I told them I was pregnant and eventually made redundant whilst on Maternity leave. The company only care about the managers or high up - I worked in an office where they hadn’t had someone in the admin team stay longer than 6 months for the last few years. 

They treated me so awfully when I was pregnant and made me feel so bad that I ended up being signed off work with stress. 

I would advise anyone DO NOT work here - they will treat you awfully. 

My day involved preparing valuations and preparing reports submitting business. Occasionally I covered Reception as well which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I am very much a people's person and learned that not having contact with the public was something I really missed. 
I felt I did not receive sufficient training and considering I had no IFA experience it felt I was being pushed to learn the job but not the concept behind it.

The company is a joke and is so poorly managed.  The managers are overwhelmed by the amount of work they have to do and can’t cope which leads to the onus and pressure being put on the advisers. 

They are only interest in generating new business and not what’s best for the clients. The adviser are given a minimum of £10k new business production which basically sets you up to fail.  I would personally avoid at all costs 

Unbelievably terrible management. I say management but everyone seems to have some kind of title to make themselves feel important. Due to this, no one ever actually wants to pick up an issue or help out in any way because “I’m a such and such manager, I don’t deal with that.” Awful work environment. Damaging to mental health and work / life balance is completely unacceptable. Avoid.

I have had a variety of roles at Chase de Vere, having been given lots of training, coaching, management support and opportunity.

All of my roles have involved client contact to varying degrees, which I love. And I am always proud of the work we do for clients.

The people I work with are extremely professional and great at what they do, so the work environment is very stimulating and rewarding.

Shocked that a large National firm has no back office systems in place & no consistency in the scrutinizing of work by senior management. 
Latest recruitment drive has seen under-qualified staff training a large, new,  inexperienced workforce (doesn't work)

no room for progression with poor training plans in place.

management looks after 40+ staff - poor monitoring and support. 

The typical day is a person thrown in the deep end to sink or swim. If you do not swim immediately be sure you will find your way to the door without question.

This is a pass the buck culture.  If you are good at navigating this type of atmosphere you may stand a chance but be aware you will be thrown under the bus if senior figures are questioned.

Heavy work loads but if you find the industry interesting then this makes life easier. Your days fly by

This company really don't care about their employees at all. Add on top of that they have a terrible managerial culture - managers will expect you to act far more professionally than they do. Pay is atrocious and advancement is limited to people who want to be a financial adviser, there are no other valid career paths.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Poor management ethos and support. Stuck in a time long gone. Business ran by financial advisers
