I found this a good company to work for, but I had to leave as I needed to work part time and not continue in full time work, sadly there was no such job available at that time, I left due to an on going disability which impaired my mobility. I did feel pressured into doing more and more overtime work and found this difficult to manage. I was a Mobile communal cleaner cleaning around 20 to 22 smaller blocks a day it was hard work but I enjoyed it loved meeting the tenants and the other employees and got on well with them all.

From my interview to first few weeks at Coastline Housing, I've been treated brilliantly by the team :) My offer letter was sent to me within 24 hours and the pre-employment checks completed by the HR team with speed and brilliant communication. My induction has been fantastic, I couldn't recommend Coastline more highly - I even received a wellbeing tin as part of my welcome pack with seeds to grow bee friendly plants. Everyone I have met so far has been so friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. It's a brilliant place of work and I feel so lucky to be in a business that has wellbeing at it's heart, a focus on customers and helping others in the community & workplace :)

My typical day at work involves handling enquiries from customers who are unable to pay their rent and guiding them through the options available. I manage hundreds of arrears cases, issuing letters and attending Court proceedings. I may carry out an eviction or support a vulnerable customer to apply for benefits, but every day is different.
I work in a great team and have learned valuable lessons about equality and diversity, how to enable people to provide for the themselves and about proffesional distance.
The hardest part of my job is leaving it at work and not speniding my evenings worrying about the customers I support.
The best part of my job is feeling that you make a difference.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Some of the staff are friendly but noone else 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They say they are accepting of people with autism but noone is trained In it and treated me so unfairly I had to leave becuase the anxiety management caused made me ill 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not good , wasn't allowed a toilet break when needed

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I enjoyed the work when I was allowed to do it but mostly I was stood around becuase management was so unorganised

I am a volunteer working 2 days a week so I cannot comment for full time employment. Both department manager and volunteer manager have been most supportive. Equipment was bought for me to use as I am disabled, so a special mouse for the computer was bought. Training was given to complete the role but additional training can be given if deemed suitable for the role. Workload can build up but staff are happy to help if required. Staff in my department very friendly and happy to help where they can.

Ruthless and only ever look out for themselves, always cover up for themselves, disgusting and dirty !!!

The management, unsupportive and cover up among themselves.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Bully culture, unsupportive and disgusting company, underhanded.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Never know what you will be doing.

I joined Coastline as a Temporary Building Surveyor which became permanant when they offered me the job full time.
I remained there for about 5 years before I retired in 2014 but now regret it. Would rather have gone part time but it was not available at the time.
I would love to secure a job part time anywhere in Cornwall for an RSL.

This was my second time at Coastline and it is a very positive place to work. There is good interaction between the various departments. I very much lije the quartly staff updates that gives an overview of the whole companies activities. Something similar organisations can learn from.

Can't say enough about how forward and positive thinking Coastline are as an organisation. Always trying innovative ways of delivering their services. About to completely overhaul their Environmental & Sustainability polivies to meet the climate emergency. Glad to have been part of their delivery system.

I was only there as a volunteer. I tried to get into the company for full time work, it never happened,  I felt kicked in the teeth. After everything I did and trained hard for, I felt like my face never fitted.
