My experience working as a Security Officer at Corps Security for CSL Sequris was nothing short of a nightmare. From the very beginning, it was clear that this company values profit far above the well-being of its employees or the quality of the service it provides.

Training and Onboarding: The training provided was woefully inadequate, setting up employees to fail. We were given just the bare minimum of information to get by, with no real guidance on handling the specific challenges we would face on-site. The lack of proper training directly affects the safety and security of the site, which is supposed to be the primary concern of a security company.

Management: The management at Corps Security is incompetent and unprofessional. They treat their employees like disposable commodities rather than human beings. Concerns about safety, working conditions, or even basic respect are dismissed out of hand. There's a pervasive culture of apathy, where the only thing that seems to matter is cutting costs, even at the expense of employee well-being and client satisfaction.

Work Environment: The work environment is toxic, with little to no support from supervisors. You're often left to fend for yourself, even in potentially dangerous situations. The equipment provided is outdated and unreliable, which only adds to the stress and risks faced on the job. To make matters worse, breaks are scarce, and you're often expected to work long hours with no additional compensation.

Pay and Benefits: The pay is insultingly low for the amount of responsibility placed on security officers. Considering the risks involved and the hours required, it’s clear that Corps Security is exploiting its workers. Benefits are minimal, and good luck trying to get any kind of meaningful time off. It’s clear that the company doesn’t care about the long-term well-being of its employees.

Client Relations: As for the relationship with CSL Sequris, it’s obvious that they’re just as disinterested in the welfare of the security team as Corps Security is. The expectations placed on officers are unrealistic, with no consideration given to the limitations of the resources provided. This creates an environment where failure is almost guaranteed, leaving the officers to take the blame for systemic issues.

Conclusion: In conclusion, I would strongly advise anyone considering a position as a Security Officer at Corps Security for CSL Sequris to look elsewhere. This job is a thankless, dead-end role in a company that has no regard for its employees. The lack of support, abysmal pay, and dangerous working conditions make it one of the worst positions I've ever held. Save yourself the trouble and find an employer that actually values its workforce.

Avoid at all costs.

I had the unfortunate experience of working as a cover guard for Corps Security at CSL Seqirus and I can't emphasize enough how terrible the entire environment was. The way employees are treated is beyond unprofessional and downright toxic. 
From the moment I started, I noticed the lack of respect from both management and other staff members. They seem to treat you as though you're expendable, with little regard for your well-being or job satisfaction. The supervisors were constantly angry and unapproachable, leaving me feeling like I was walking on eggshells every shift.

Expect long hours with no appreciation, and if you need assistance, good luck—you're pretty much on your own. The work itself was stressful enough, but the constant micromanagement and negative attitudes from higher-ups made it all the worse.

Overall, my time at CSL  was a nightmare, and I wouldn't recommend this job to anyone. The management clearly doesn’t care about their employees, and that kind of environment is never worth it, no matter how much you’re getting paid. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for employment

You will be left on your own for 12 hours a night in place that has a computer but you can not and are not allowed to use it .  your phone will have no signal because the site is on a industrial site in the middle of no where and no WIFI for the check calls  

old men will bark orders on to you via telephone when you don't do something you have not been trained or shown to do 

then some nights with out warning your declared  the wandering guard and are expected to go to all four sites across the industrial site while the regular staff sit all warm and cozy in the other lodges as you come in to do there patrol 

if your lucky enough to be given a day shift the client staff you  will have to do all manner of things that go beyond what your actually paid for you will become a unpaid receptionist and asked to chase up all manner of things and will be always ringing up another site  to ask for help/advice only for sarcastic Reponses or snarky Reponses 
they some times will put you on a secondary gate that can get quite busy but you will spend most the shift running back and fourth getting drivers number plates  names and contact details they will get very funny with you if you ask for a break so you can get food and you will be not allowed to leave the site 

stay clear not worth the minimum wage for the amount of stuff they will have you doing and the full time staff there are nothing but regular moaners 


This honestly has to be the worst company i've ever worked for. 
Management will never look out for staff and they always make false promises that they do not keep. Duty managers discuss your personal business with other employees (there is not confidentiality).
Contract managers do not reply to emails, answer the phone or reply to texts. 
No sufficient training is giving when being trained up on sites you are expected to learn them yourself. Site managers are never best pleased with guards not knowing what their doing. 
Managers will prey on the vulnerable and threaten them with disciplinary's if the relief guards do not take shifts that they legally do not have to take. 
Management promise you sites, hours and contracts that never seen to be delivered leaving you in financial trouble.  
You will be promised positions of sites and they will be given to someone else even when it has been promised to yourself.
You will be rota'd in for shifts and then be pulled out last minute because they have to fill someone else's contract. 

HOLIDAYS ALWAYS GET DECLINED:
They ask for 28 days notice with holidays and even when giving 3 months notice they decline them because "they have no staff to cover" yet they do not ask around. 

This has happened to me plenty of times and other staff. other staff have come to me personally asking to to cover shifts when i haven't even been asked by management. 

When relief guards are struggling for work and could do with the extra hours they will always ask someone else instead of considering you for no reason at all. 

Management never defend your corner.

PAY IS ALWAYS WRONG!

You will never be able to not track your wages every month because it is always wrong and funnily enough your never over paid always under paid.

After 3 months my job was totally changed (I was only informed by a passing supervisor about this 2 days prior to it happening) in the interview I was promised 36 hours a week (in my written contract it was stated 36 a MONTH! Which is useless for a family provider, minimum wage yet the majority of sites are very busy and complex (time sheets,passes,systems,emails,CCTV,fire systems,ICT use) I was travelling 80 miles a day (even when they have sites within 10 miles of my home, the companies answer to this was we don't need to inform you on our decisions and we will not move someone off a site to move you on) I was promised travel allowance, it wasn't mentioned that whatever they give you in travel allowance they take the same off your gross wage so all it saves you is tax, in 3 months I made 50 pound profit from this travel allowance (which isn't even a weeks fuel costs) Scheduling often ring at LEAST once a day demanding you do extra shifts if you refuse due to having plans (kids etc) expect a snotty reply, they ring any time from 6am onwards to 8pm (slightly annoying if after an hours sleep after coming of night shift they are ringing you and waking you up) they often ring asking you to do night shift even if you are working at 12 or 13.00 the next day (3 or 4 hours sleep is no good to anyone) also last but not least the communication is non existing and they often ring you the night before asking you to cover, considering in the interview they stated it was a company of great prestige I found them a terrible company with no regard at all for you as staff or an individual. I am now an EX employee having handed in my notice after 6 months.

Having worked for the company for a number of years i have to say that it has gone drastically down hill.

Shifts: you will get pass from piller to post, this is tipically of contract security. You cant even work with management to get regular  shifts or s pattern.

Hours: plenty of work if you are willing to put the hours in after all your just a number remember. They will hound you for work and when you need time off they guilt trip you and pressure you. Typical low level managment technique. 

Colleagues: some good people at sites: but also alot of grumpy people with bad attitudes, a few supervisors  will power trips. Come on its not MI5 lol.

Managment: no very active in the way of support again this is typical of contract security. As long as your on thd site they are not bothered. Duty manager or mobike patrol are terrible and only come to spy on you there have been sone good obes in the past but they are few and far between. Managment will use all there will to pressure you in to shift or sites that you dont want. If they just with you then against you the sites you work at would be good to go to.

Money: sites vary you can get some good ones. Again if you are willing to put the hours in you get it back.


Dont work for this comapany at any level you will have a non exsistant life as a manager and the officers are treated bad.

If you have no life are single and desprate for money then use them as a last resort. 

I remember when they fired a long serving employee close to retirement and then brought them back as the realised there big mistake and seen what an asset they were.... enough said people.

I have worked for Corps for a few years now and the only reason iv stayed with them is because im on a permanent site and the actual job is ok. I try to steer clear of dealing with corps as much as possible but have to when it comes to booking holidays ect. They will decline holidays just because they cant be bothered to find cover, once your holiday is booked they might cancel it without telling you or try to get you to come in, in the middle of your holiday. They move, cancel and add to your shifts without telling you. They blatantly lie to their clients forgeting that we talk to the client for example they might change your shift last minuet and tell the client that you have called in sick or "blown out". The wage is far too low for what they expect from you, causing a high turn over and low quality of staff. They are a hire and fire company that dosent care about individuals. Have a complaint about a duty manager or contracts manager? Dont even bother complaining it will only get you fired and if you try to complain anonymously they will refuse to deal with it. I had another job offer from a good company on the day i got this job and accepted this one due to the pay being slightly higher. Look into the company you will be working for before accepting the job as i now strongly regret my decision especially since after actually staring the job i discovered my hourly rate was not actually what was advertised and was lower than the other offer in the end.

10 guards at my site,  I was the best by far, 1 sat with his feet up on the reception desk,  on camera seen by management,  nothing done! 1 smoking in the office,  on camera nothing done, 1 always late and sleeping on the night shifts,  evidence seen by management,  nothing done, I could go on!  Then u have me who worked in a team of 2 and only lived down the road,  it was quicker to go home eat dinner and go back then to pop to the shop, baring in mind it's late the site is secure and empty and the other guard is on site and more than happy for me to go eat as he used to eat his pack lunch and watch TV for an hour or two, so one night I go to eat, have a major family situation to deal with,  short story is I was off site about 2 hours but the guard didn't phone so all was ok but management found out and instantly sacked me, no meeting no questions nothing.  Not even a chance to explain what happened.  My family 👪 became homeless we lost everything,  whereas the guy who used to sleep all the time is still there!!!  I was happy at corps until this and had no support from my superiors.  Not even the decency to text me or anything.  Disgusting and I would have taken it further had I not had to worry about my family and children. Oh and I was the least experienced guy but was training and showing others how to do certain aspects of the job. 
To be honest I loved it till this happened.

Working at this workplace was nothing short of a disappointment. While advertised as a CCTV operator role with a promising schedule of 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off, the reality quickly revealed itself to be far from ideal, this is a call
Centre. 
The mandatory 12-hour shifts for six consecutive days each month, without a proper lunch break, was exhausting and unsustainable. Being tethered to the desk, even during meals, and expected to answer calls regardless of personal needs.
Moreover, the environment lacked basic necessities like natural ventilation and properly maintained air conditioning filters, contributing to frequent illnesses among employees. Shockingly, there was no sick pay to support staff during inevitable bouts of sickness.
Unprofessionalism exhibited by management. Confidentiality was nonexistent as managers and supervisors openly gossiped about staff members, creating a toxic and distrustful atmosphere.
In conclusion, this workplace fails on multiple fronts, from its misleading job description to its disregard for employee well-being and professionalism. Potential applicants beware, as this is not a place conducive to a healthy work-life balance or career growth.

Loved working with Corps security as a duty manager, very busy as mostly not office based but in vehicle visiting sites. 
Apart from the usual thing in security, guards nodding off and blow outs and alike, a good company to work for.
Reason I left was moving outside of London to Essex and commute started to be a challenge, that I did for over 3 years of the 5 I worked there. I really didn’t want to not work in London, great city and the company had great sites. 
In the end the deciding factor was a senior management team change and workload that no longer related to the wage on offer. Massive shame as that really was something I had the feeling wouldn’t change. 
2 years later the other long standing DM left and the mobile patrol guys weeks later.
The behind the scenes guys tho, the main control based in Scotland, were top draw, kept you busy with humorous night worker banter to relate how they were also feeling. Over all, not one of the worse to work for by along way

From day one, I had doubts about this company—and unfortunately, they were completely justified. The management team is one of the worst I’ve ever encountered: arrogant, selfish, and shockingly unprofessional. There is a blatant culture of favoritism, zero accountability, and a complete lack of respect for staff.

They only look out for themselves and will throw employees under the bus to avoid responsibility. If a problem arises and it doesn’t directly affect them, they’ll ignore it or pass the blame. Don’t expect any kind of real support—just a lot of talk, lies, and broken promises. Concerns are brushed off, morale is non-existent, and you’re made to feel like you’re on your own.

Communication is poor to nonexistent, and when you do raise issues, you’re either dismissed or made to feel like you’re the problem. The overall environment is toxic, and management has no interest in changing it because they benefit from the chaos.

This isn’t a place for growth, development, or even basic respect. If you’re considering working here—don’t. You deserve better.
