The atmosphere here is like no other place I have worked. We are treated equally as people throughout the hierarchy, and respected for our differences. Managers DO NOT micromanage (which is massive for me) - you don’t have someone breathing down your neck, you are given the responsibility and trust you deserve. With that said, your manager is still on hand to offer guidance, advice and furthered training where necessary, and ultimately, the fact you aren’t made to feel stupid for needing training in certain areas makes the whole development process more comfortable. The importance of efficiency is massive here, but the training programme provided gives new employees the chance to learn every fine detail of the industry in order to become knowledgeable and more importantly efficient in the role. Not to mention the rewards of a formal annual dinner, a summer day/overnight trip within teams. Work hard and be rewarded!

I started with only 1 of sales experience, I wasn't sure to go back into sales as my former telesales role was so stressful but I enjoyed the commission. I had heard mixed reports about Crown Oil but I am so glad I didn't listen. 

From the interview to start date, I felt so informed and wanted! sounds silly but I was actually excited to start. The training was so good, mixed with classroom, on the phone and 121 support. 

Once I hit the phone, it was so much fun, customers welcomed my calls, such a difference from my previous job! I learned commission straight away and no target to hit but you do have a call target that is more than achievable. 

I loved my time at Crown, I have made some wonderful friends for life. I learned so much from this role and glad I took a chance and stayed in sales. I now manage my own sales team and that's all down to Crown 

Crown is like no other company I have worked for.  Some fantastic people work here and I have always felt there has been someone to go to if I have ever had an issue. 
I have been encouraged to grow within the business and settled in a great department. 
You get to know everyone from the cleaner to the CEO  and not once have I ever felt I could not approach management. 
In all areas of the business, there are targets and KPIs but I found it always to be fair and more than achievable. 
This company has over 75% of staff been here longer than 5 years so the "sacking culture" is far from true but what I would say is you have to be present at work. They don't really tolerate it if you are always off sick. 
Other than that it is a great place to work and they throw some really good work team-building days throughout the year! 
 

Crown are open to ideas and I feel the business helps hard working employees succeed. Working for crown I have had support and guidance with each move i have made in the business. 
Management are really approachable even the Directors. The culture of the business is turn up, work hard, we will reward you and look after you. 
Some fantastic years spent here! 
Starting off in a sales role the structure of this role was like no other sales role I had done previously. You had full autonomy of your work not script no dialler system and actual achievable targets with actual uncapped commission! 
I was fully supported when I wish to look at other areas of the business. 
Honestly really enjoy working here.

These are notorious around the local area for sacking people Willy nilly. So why I went working there I do not know? On my first day on the sales floor, there was a sacking. Then every week after that, there was at least one a week. It was brutal. It wasn’t a case of if you weren’t good enough you were gone. It was ‘if your face didn’t fit’ and mine did not fit. 
It’s very clicky. It felt like I was in the set of mean girls. It was unbearable. Absolute worst job I have ever had. 
The money isn’t bad and that’s the only positive. 

If you like to use your own initiative and earn lots of money, Crown is where you want to be, there is lots of potential to earn good money here.

Once you have had your training and know the products on offer the world is yours for the taking.

Sales was completely new me, but any concerns I had was soon put at ease by management and colleagues. 

The day consists of consultative selling and building up your own client base and maintaining those relationships

I have worked at Crown Oil for 8 years, after leaving a job that I had worked at for 11 years. I am so glad that I decided to take the step and apply, I had no knowledge of Oil/Fuel, however the training and experience from other members off staff at Crown made learning easy. Like any other sales environment there are targets and KPI's to hit, as long as you are willing to put in the work then you will earn the Rewards. 

 

After the pandemic I was anxious about starting a new role within such a big company but you aren't just a payroll number at crown, it doesn't feel as big as it actually is and everyone is so lovely. I received a promotion after 3 months with Crown. If you are a reliable, hard working individual who loves a busy and varied day you will fit right into this company. The atmosphere is amazing with an incentive always within reach and the job security is an added comfort.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing,  it was awful. Bullying culture,  very cliquey staff. Inadequate training. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working with the people that worked there.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Cliquey,  managers have very much got favourites and they are only interested in their progress. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Miserable,  long and stressful.

Toxic place to work. Corrupt management. Face fits mentality 

Spent 2 years there. Horrible time all the way through. I should of took my gut instinct when I first started.

Management are some of the worse I've seen. Lots of back handers going on within the company. Turn over of staff is insane.

Some of there practices are questionable from a professional standard. 

Don't bother. Save yourself the depression.
