I used to to leave home between 05:30 - 06:30 and arrive back between 18:30 - 19-00, during the summer this could be later because international removals is very seasonal.
When I started at Crown I was road crew, this was my most enjoyable period at Crown. During my time at Crown the greatest one thing I've learned is how to put people at ease and relax them at what is one of the most stressful times of their lives.
The managers at Crown are under a lot of pressure to ensure they meet budgets, which filters down to the packing crews and can impact on the quality of the work. I was promoted in January 2011 to regional trainer and the hardest part of my job trying to keep the standard of packing up to the quality our customers have paid for and expect. And on a whole we achieved that. If we fell short of our customers expectations I used to retrain and monitor all our feedback forms from all over the world. The most enjoyable part of my role was speaking to customers, helping them with their concerns and dealing with crew problems. I covered surveys and found answering customers initial enquiries very satisfying.
My co-workers also made my time at Crown really enjoyable and was the saddest part of leaving.

The company had recently acquired a UK entity and was building a team to run its UK operations.  

I produced accurate financial and management information to assist the Finance Manager in producing the company's accounts.   

 

Responsible for analysis of revenue and operating expenses for the company as well as forecasting and budgeting.  

 

First point of finance contact for Scandinavian, UK & Ireland Entities.  Maintain timely bank reconciliations on the group bank accounts.   

 

Prepare the quarterly cash flow budget and analyze against actual and investigate Variances.  

 

Prepare Monthly Multi-currency Inter Company Billing, reconciliation and settlement.  

 

Clarifying branch profit/loss queries and provide assistance/advice where necessary. 

 

Inputting General ledger entry including accruals and prepayments. Ensuring that information is accurately collated & entered into systems. Processing of expense & credit card claims.  Assisting with the sales / purchase ledger duties, cash books and payroll.  Analysis of Payroll and reconciliation. Evaluating and Adhering to Creditor payment terms 

 

Preparing and Managing: Fixed Asset Register, Reconciliations and Calculation of Depreciation journals. VAT Preparation/ submissions.

I learned to appreciate the importance of working in a team, very little interaction with management some would not know who you were or what you do for the company and would stay tucked away in their office forever.

Was made redundant after team restructure, it's shame that colleagues who had only recently joined themselves who dont know you as a person helped decide who stayed and who went

My time at Crown was on a part time 2 days a week contract. Which for me I wanted to get more hours but they was reluctant to do so. My typical day was answering phone calls, sending emails, opening the post, sending the post, doing invoicing, dealing with customer queries and also paying suppliers. I have learnt valuable office skills and how to conduct myself in an office environment. The management was okay but during my time at the company I had 3 new bosses and several co-worker changes. The hardest part of my job was when I had a phone call from an angry supplier who had demanded money to be paid to him for the services he had done. I had to calm the gentleman down which took a while but gave me great job satisfaction afterwards which made it my most enjoyable part as well.

From the first day, I was made to feel welcome and valued. The content of the work was very varied and challenging, and colleagues were always willing to lend support if I needed it. The HR team, and my line manager made sure that I had all of the training that I needed in order to do my job well. Great place to work.

When i joined CWG 3 years ago, I was made to feel welcome and part fo the team -  which was a breath of fresh air compared to previous expreinces.  
There are plenty of chances to develop personanly and professionally across the different departments.
You can work on projects in collaborattion with different countries and departments. 

The team at Crown worldwide were very wise to their roles and extremely clear in informing myself and my colleague as to what was exactly required of us. 

The team were extremely helpful and friendly, they made for a fun and unforgettable experience.

Crown is an interesting international company to work for with ample opportunities for growth. However I felt like just a number and never a person while working for Crown.
