What is the best part of working at the company?
Convenient and predictable Rota (3 on 3 off) and good pay for the level of work. Mostly residential so not high stress. Good communication with staff and extra pay for last minute overtime if someone calls sick

Working nights have less staff and even fewer if someone calls off and they can’t get someone to cover. Can be difficult with only 3 staff members

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good communication and very friendly, working with a small team means very few arguments and pettiness with staff on nights. Issues can easily be resolved and we can balance out the workload 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The evenings and mornings can be busy on nights but throughout the night it’s often very calm. We divide answering bells and doing tasks such as cleaning and checks

It’s non stop most days and you’re expected to do more than you’re capable of so you’re breaking your back to do all the tasks allocated with not enough time to sit with the residents for an actual chat and companionship. 
The company is  very much money orientated when it comes to intake, will take anyone regardless of their needs and carers are then expected to work beyond their capabilities and knowledge.  
Most enjoyable part of the job is knowing the residents are cared for, and the staff working with are fantastic but burnout is quick in here.

I have worked at Crystal Care since day 1 of opening, my experience from day 1 was really good. 2 week face to face induction that gave me the knowledge  to do my job well at the home. 
The staff team is really friendly and helpful, the residents are also lovely. A beautiful place to work with nice staff room facilities for the staff to rest. Paid breaks and a meal provided for staff. I would recommend Crystal Care as a place to work. The  Senior team visit regularly and always find time to stop and say hello to all residents and staff.

I cannot give enough praise to Crystal Care, especially our Pontefract team. The whole process of starting my new job has been brilliant. Right from the interview process, to the induction and now to starting in my new role and settling in within our team. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone and I can already feel such a positive work culture and strong team work growing. If you’re looking for a job in health care, and want to feel valued and part of a work family then I strongly recommend Crystal Care ❤️

The residents are by far the best part of working here. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There is a lot of blame culture, toxic leadership, scapegoating and negative behaviour. You could work your socks off day in and day out but yet it is still not enough

Can be rather toxic skit if the time. Work load is very high. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
High stress, feeling not good enough.

I have been working for Crystal Care now for 4 weeks and I feel at home,  supportive management you can talk to and ask questions if you have any.  The induction was very good in depth probably one of the best I have had in the care sector.
All the team are friendly and feels like a family where we can all grow together to make it a great place for people to work and for the residents that we support live with great care. 


Crystal Care Collection has exceeded my expectation. Everyone is kind, caring and friendly. We have a clear focus on what we want to achieve for your residents and everyone is on the same page. We pride ourselves on being open, honest and transparent with each other and we are truly one big happy family.  Getting up for work each day with a spring in my step to see what the day will bring and look forward to spending time with my colleagues and this journey to exceed outstanding levels of care!! 

I have worked for crystal care collection for 2 weeks so far. I felt very relaxed at the interview and felt very welcome. Owe have had 2 weeks of training. It was very informative but we had so much fun getting to know eachother as a team. All staff are very approachable and very accepting of eachothers differences. Very homely environment to work in. 

Working with crystal care collection at middleshaw hills is honestly amazing. It's a new opened business with plenty off opportunities to expand within the company. All the staff are welcoming, bubbly and fun. It's a nice environment welcoming all from all backgrounds. Would 1000% recommend.
