Shifts typically run from 11 AM to 5 PM for morning shifts, and 5 PM to 2 AM for night shifts. The hours were great, the working environment was positive, and the colleagues were friendly and supportive. There was always something to do, whether it was busy or quiet—you were always kept on task.

This job is ideal if you’re someone who’s ready to put in the effort. Overall, it was a great experience. Everyone was paid the same starting rate, which I believe was around £6 an hour, with the potential for pay increases over time.

One of the perks was free food during your 15-minute break, although you have to prepare it yourself. Plus, anytime you go to Dixy to eat, you get a staff discount.

Day started off with setting up shop and making sure everything was stocked appropriately, I learnt various things, like how to stock up on the machinery and how to manage the cash register as well as people skills and how to conduct myself in a working environment. The management was firm and gave me a great idea of what was required of me and the management as well as the co-workers helped me to easily fit into the system. The hardest part of the job was getting use to the atmosphere as it was quite different from anything I had been involved in previously, and the most enjoyable part was being able to interact with new people on a regular basis.

During my time there, I learnt a great deal of maturity which enabled me to come across to people more professionally which helped me a lot. The hardest part of the work was the increasing number of customers which only meant more workload for us staff. However, I thrived upon that and once I got the hang of it. I was really getting used to it. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting and greeting the new customers and getting to know the staff both on a professional and personal level.

Good working place which really helped me with different type of people and customers. Increased my confidence and self-esteem. Everything was organised and the shifts were flexible, it showed me also that team work is important as taking the order as well as preparing is all linked and has to all be done effectively to avoid customer frustration.

I think working at Dixy chicken was good experience for me. I gained many skills and knowledge, which will benefit me in my future working environment, I roels included taking care of customers, serving customers, dealing with minor problems, handling money, and checking stock and the store rooms. 

working environment was very friendly, staff were nice and friendly while working in a faces paced environment. Being responsible for safeguarding the financial and people management, skills to motivate others and the drive and energy to succeed is a good head to business.

Was an ok place to work with new people and experiencing other peoples back grounds but security and felling safe at dixy was meh payroll was below the minimum wage specially for the ours you work I was getting paid £6.50 at the age of 21 

Working for dixy chicken was more of a learning curve for me. Learning how to work as a team in a fast place environment. Preparing food, taking orders and dealing with customers. The best thing about working for them was building a rapport with customer and staff members.

Very busy work  learned a lot everyday serving people with a great service with a smile on my face.This was a job everyday u had to meet new faces some sad some happy faces.it was one of the jobs which given me oppurtunity to learn and build my skills on customer service.

Very welcoming and friendly environment can be challenging at times however what’s life without a challenge you gotta give 100 at all times and surely if your doing well there is always bonuses given everyone contributes to the work ethics
