Durhamlane

I've been working at durhamlane for nearly a year now. When I first joined, I had some sales experience but not a lot, so I was nervous I wouldn't be offered the job. I had my first interview over the phone, and my 2nd interview via Teams with HR and one member of the leadership team. The interview was fine and I felt very at ease the whole time, I felt it was obvious from the beginning that the people who work at durhamlane are friendly and extremely helpful. 

Now I've been here for 11 months and I couldn't be happier with everything I have learnt here, and the people I have met along the way. During your first 6 months, you get a mentor who is there to help you in work and personal life. I found this a really good aspect of the company, as it allowed me to make a friend straight away even when working from home. Now I am working hybrid, 3 days in the office and 2 days at home which works perfectly for me and many other staff. Management are so helpful that they would always ensure you're happy in the environment you're in and will bend over backwards to help in any way they can. 

Although this is a sales role and therefore focused on KPIs, the amount of support you receive from management and your peers is enough so that you feel comfortable hitting these targets every month. If you're struggling, all colleagues around you will offer advice and training to put your mind at ease. 

Workday aside, the incentives you get while working at durhamlane are incredible. Frequent nights out with your team, incentive days in the office where you can win prizes, and company parties are just a few of the fab extras you get when working here.

All in all, durhamlane is a fantastic place to work, especially if you're looking for progression in the areas of sales/marketing/account management. The work culture is the best I have experienced, and everyone will go above and beyond to ensure you're happy in the role. I am very happy to work here and I look forward to seeing where this company can take me.

When I started with durhamlane  I had little experience in sales but got hired at a higher selling level which means high targets . You receive monthly reviews which you get scored on and if you fall behind by as little as 8% you get a month to correct it or you will be sacked. You sometimes find you working multiple accounts which means your time is stretched and they dont support you even though they are aware you are struggling.  The company promotes from with in often but i feel new team leaders should not have new staff under them as I was failed by my team leader due to having no support and negative pressure on getting 1 deal over the line. There is many members of staff who are supportive but any members of leadership feel the power makes them unstoppable. They have gone more call centre  and KPI focused and older members of staff have also felt this change.New members to the business already doubt that 4 weeks into the job that they are being miss treat and feel unsafe . I would not wish for any one who puts 100% in to there job to work under this company unless they change their management focus. The company foes give back in areas and offers great training to take to your role but nothing to make you want to stay with them long term other than the great incentive days. 

Having spent years in a previous career, I was offered the chance to start a new new challenge as part of the Outsourced Business Development team. I can say there is no other company that can offer those starting out the level of exposure to so many sectors and industries as durhamlane. In my first 18 months I became a sector matter expert in HR, manufacturing, NHS care and Legal, mostly from a SaaS software scope. I was then given the opportunity to switch to the Recruitment side of the business, supported from both teams in the transition, to manage full cycle projects for high value clients. Moving on to a SaaS BDM role, I feel 2 years at durhamlane has prepared me to do great things in my future career, and I'd recommend anyone to come learn their trade. Having started in a cramped, townhouse office, I have seen the company move to a brand new, high tech office and make it their own, with great facilities for the staff. With new, bigger deals being signed all the time, it feels like durhamlane is about to kick on again, so now could be the best time to join.

I've developed so much during my time at durhamlane and the welcoming, friendly and learning-focused culture has really helped me. I've worked with some really interesting clients and whilst there are tough days at times (to be be expected in any sales role) I have a great team around me and have worked with some incredibly supportive managers in my time here. To work here you need to be open to constant coaching and feedback because if you open yourself up to this you will learn and grow quickly. The only slight downside is the pay which could and should be better, particularly at lower levels.

I found durhamlane to be a pleasure to work for. 

Staff were promoted from within, very fair salary structure and a fantastic environment to be in. I found that people worked collaboratively to achieve results as well as the continuous support from management. 

It's clear to see why so many stay with durhamlane for years, they care about their employees, they're keen to grow but they want their employees to take that step with them. Creating new roles and progression paths. 

It's also worthwhile saying, there's not many businesses in this line of work where you can be greeted by two ambitious owners who want to get to know you. 

durhamlane isn't just a place for an introduction to sales, you're able to create a clear career path in sales within the business. 

Honestly an incredible team, really fun place to work and they put great emphasis on sales training so you're doing outbound selling the right way, with a team around you to bounce off of and share the highs and lows of things with.

The only sales company I've worked in that wasn't excessive over sales targets, and also the sales company I've been with the longest. This isn't a coincidence! 

I've nothing but positive words for durhamlane, and would strongly encourage anyone looking to start or continue a sales/marketing career to seriously consider durhamlane.

I found the office to be immediately welcoming. People of all levels mix and the Team Leaders and Senior Managers are incredibly supportive. After a close bereavement two months into the role, I received an unbelievable amount of support evidencing the overwhelming ethos of support and positivity at durhamlane. The training is very thorough and leaves no stone unturned. We have frequent incentive days where we can win prizes that keep everyone motivated as well as parties, holidays and team meals/ nights-out. There is a great focus on progression and hard work is rewarded, would not work anywhere else!

Due to the sales training/coaching culture, it really is the perfect place to develop and start a sales career. -question based selling approach- not a call center vibe. -Driven yet fun atmosphere -Small yet ambitious company. Growing quickly and plenty of opportunity to grow and gain responsibility. - working in numerous sectors gives interesting overview of many different industries -if you put the work in, numerous opportunities to earn good money through commission -'family' culture. backed up with company trips abroad, great team building days etc.

From day 1 you are exposed to durhamlane's key selling at a higher level methodology which has enabled the business to grow quickly. Through coaching sessions with team leaders who have been at the company for years, you are able to grow and develop your given project/client and manage the expectations whilst feeling secure you have the backing of senior leadership to succeed. The company sets you up so that you have the best chance to winning and the open door policy from the owners down to colleagues means the office is a fun and welcoming place to work.
