A Typical Day at Work:
Check and respond to incoming e-mails/voicemails including deleting/forwarding emails to relevant parties if necessary.

Checking the deadline dates for responding to correspondece relating to Stage 1/Members Enquiries to respond accordingly.

Answering telephone calls from residents concerning boiler breakdowns/Door Entry Systems and Communal Electrical issues.

Sending out letters to residents regarding new boiler installations that have been carried out for any issues raised.

Completing any monthly contract minutes that may need to be updated or sent out.

Any ad hoc duties that may arise during the course of the day.

What I have learned:
In my present role I have learnt to be more patient, to listen and that time Management is needed on a daily basis and is a necessary skill to keep improving.  

Management:
I manage my workload effectively in order to meet deadlines and create time to liaise with my colleagues to look at different ways of working and improving what we do.

Workplace culture
Good working environment - open plan offce - meeting rooms are readily available if booked but you do need to book in advance.  I have easy to speak to experienced colleagues to consult on a face-to-face bass for up-to-date information. We have good IT equipment e.g. we no longer have landline telephones all our calls are carried out via skype.

The hardest part of the job
Trying to resolve issues with both the resident and contractors to come to an amicable resolution.  Also knowing when and how to prioritise urgent jobs.

The most enjoyable part of the job
Is the satisfaction I get when I receive a call back/email from a resident who has appreciated the hard work it sometimes to take to co-ordinate/liaise with various people to get works completed on time and to the correct specification.

To be the main point of contact for tenants providing information and assistance as appropriate to enable tenants to live independently and maintain their tenancy. Coordinating activities and events that are accessible and inclusive. Give tenants advice on right to benefits and services. Safeguarding tenants from any form of abuse. Undertake regular health and safety inspections in accordance with the organisation's policies and procedures. Assess tenants' individual needs and make referrals to Social Services for formal needs assessments working with families and appropriate external agencies.

I gained knowledge of the social housing related support framework and administration process. The ability to use the most appropriate style and method of communication with people at different levels inside and outside the organisation. Ability to identify potential problems and taking appropriate action.

Report any incidents/accidents to management. To report any concerns regarding any form of abuse to the management. To follow and adhere to the organisation's policies, procedures and performance expectations.

Taking part in team meetings and participating in case conferences with external agencies where appropriate. Taking part in hand-over sessions with co-workers as well as covering sickness and absences where necessary.

Dealing with sudden death and informing family or relatives. Dealing with anti-social behaviour. 
A clean environment and a relaxed staff canteen. Flexible working hours.

On a typical days work I would pick up my appointments from my diary,and priorities my inspections which has to be converted within 24 hours. these inspections could be from minor works like renewing kitchen units to structural problems, insurance claims, members enquire, Councillors enquire complaints, mutual exchanges, Post inspections,updating and processing and  invoicing. Liaising with tenant, contractor and other bodies in the Housing group in order to resolve issues. As part of my every day routine I liaise with internal and external parties in relation to contract management. This involves ensuring that the works are being carried out according to the specific contract covering the works. Normally this would be the Schedule of Rates which is a measured Term Contract. The Housing Association/Council and Contractor are covered by the S.O.R. Contract and this applies to all works carried out under the terms of the contract. I currently work as part of a team and contribute by communicating with my colleagues, sharing information, covering task during colleagues absences and attending team meetings. Team work is also about sharing of resources.
The most difficult part of the job is when insufficient information is available in order to resolve issue for example back dated insurance claim which makes it difficult to establish whether or not the claim is valid. And the most rewarding part of the job is when I have been able to satisfy a customer and resolve outstanding issue with tenant contractors and stakeholders.

À day at work it's a nightmare, you don't have access to a restroom, you work less hours of what they will tell you (not 8hrs) so you'll be not having the salary they promised you. There is literally nothing to learn and it's a good job for whoever has zero skills. Management you'll see it only when they come and look at you while working, all friendly but unfortunately not really a management. The culture is pretty much poor. The hardest part of the job is to work with the uniforms they'll give you because they get destroyed in time one week (my trouser, my rain coat) and they will not replace them. Will be given to you ONLY 1 SHIRT for entire work week. You need to ask if you want more and if you don't you will not have it. This because most of people who I met was working there since no more than 2months. And even more people are being sacked while there substancially because we are humans and we can be sick especially after working under heat or rain/cold. In ealing council you can't be sick or have holidays, they will sack you.
And people in contract have barely 1week holiday because it's a system first come first serve and in a place of thousands of employees they will be booked entirely at start of the year.
Most enjoyable part is there is no competition because your career will be always the same job. 

A normal day would consist of answering inbound inquires and giving out venue hire information such as prices, explaining policies and conducting show rounds of our rooms within Ealing Town Hall for venue hire. Preparing checklists of event requirements and carrying out event planning meetings. Writing post event reports at the end of each event and sending out client feedback forms.
On event management days I would arrive early to ensure rooms are set up correctly, and make any changes before an event started. If it was a wedding this would usually happen the night before. The most challenging part of the job was the very long hours, where would posbbily be working up to 14 or 15 hours a day. My team was very small and I'd be managing around 7 to 10 people on avergae.

I learnt how to negotiate and deal with different kinds of clients from a number of various cultures and backgorunds. I learnt how to delegate work within our team.

The most enjoyable part of my job would be knowing that you made someone's event very special and the adenaline you got from that was aswesome, especially on event days. It sums up to customer satisfaction and I'd be confident that the client would return to do business with us again.

All server issues were dealt with as well as administering programs and installations. This incorporated teaching others how to make their work more effective and how to manage their time more effectively • Managing all software products, server back up and charity log • Constant use of Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows 7 applications and working with user accounts. • Updating Simms Management and troubleshooting the various application issues both hardware and software. I also uploaded new virus packages and backed up servers on regular basis • Networking in house, wired and Wi-Fi based - preparing hubs, switches and routers and installation of thin client with cloud software & LCD touch screen technology • Working to specific web design request from client. Creating copyright and advising of best safety & regulations. Applying different software solutions to achieve the best effective usage and consideration for cost implementation

A typical day would start at the office typing up contracts for the contractors to implement. This would involve inspection of all parks areas and the work carried out to the specification. Drawing up the new Contracts, liaising with members of the public, including taking service calls were all things required to be carried out on any given day. I learned how to negotiate at Client/ Contractor meetings and with the other specialty areas such as Arboriculture, Landscape Architects, the Conservation Section and other departments within the council such as Housing, Schools and Highways. 
The hardest part of the job was preparing detailed documents for a particular project, which then is not implemented due to cutbacks.
Being involved in some major landscape projects was the most enjoyable part of the job.

I am very interested in this position as it relates strongly to my vast experience in CCTV Enforcement and also my general knowledge of the Parking industry.
For the past 3 years I have been working as a cctv enforcement officer for my Ealing council authority. During my employment I have learnt how to handle various parking  and operational situations professionally and efficiently using my own knowledge and any available resources.
As can be seen from my CV, I possess all the necessary industry related certification, am CRB cleared and hold numerous relevant academic qualifications. I also possess a helpful attitude, good team working skills and am prepared to put in that extra effort which makes all of the difference.

I developed a very good working relationship with service head and managers within the council directorates and built up a good reputation within my team and my clients by providing financial support and advice outside the monthly budget monitoring routine especially during the annual budget preparation and year-end process which have involved:

Ensuring the cash limits are maintained and agreed with Financial Planning and budgets virements were correctly calculated and ledgers updated. 

Ensuring the of the integrity of structures and data held in the general ledgers for the service by providing the required information used in the set up of the new management structure and closure of redundant cost codes within the accounting system.

A typical day at work is a a morning chit chat to get settled into work, exchange a few jokes here and then during the day while working, a wind down near 5 o'clock which is nice

I've learnt many technical skills such as using web based applications such as timebase, agresso, NQTManager

Management was great and understanding, I felt I could express my intentions and ideas well, and they listened and took on board my thoughts

Co-workers were friendly, great social people, however some are abit slow in responding to my requests

The most enjoyable part of the job was were I was held responsible for my own ideas,projects and expected to deliver success
