The work environment varies depending on each departments management chain. However, there are constants including lower than average pay, poor benefits package, high turn over in general, and an overwhelming number of executives and directors that resort to yelling and cursing as standard practice in day to day operations. Both technical and business support salaried positions are pushed to work overtime as standard practice. Negativity from the top down yields a work environment thriving on low morale and employees just trying to keep their heads down to get home without daily conflict. There is a lack of positive encouragement at the company as a whole, of course there are those rogue managers that do a great job supporting their employees and providing positive leadership, but they are in the minority.

I worked there as part of my degree, and was please with seeing how my skill would be put to use in a actual company. My typical work day changed during my placement as when projects started/ended I was moved to where I was needed. I learn the more practical and real world elements of my student leanings. The hardest part of the the job was the commute which being over a hour long meant leaving early and getting home late. The most enjoyable part was long term test as I found it interesting seeing how circuit changed base on operating conditions e.g. at or above rated values.

Subpar compensation, poor benefits package, unethical sales strategies encourages, increasing irrelevant group of products/services. Mid management concerned with simply keeping their job. Extreme disconnect between uper management/C-Level execuives and associates exclusively interfacing with existing and potential clients.

A relaxed company to work for.  Enabled to prioritise own work load with a minimum of supervision with help or advise when required.
Consulted in all departmental decisions and felt my input was listened to and responded to accordingly

I started win produtive line thein I grow for another level repairing code satellite that was fun.
The bad was the lay off for the company but everything there was right.

I worked at EchoStar for about six years and it was a great place to work! My achievements were appreciated and I was promoted twice. I made some lifelong friends there, as an added plus!

I enjoyed working at EchoStar and spent 7 years there before I was made redundant in 2013.  The EchoStar Steeton site was closed down in 2017 although the US parent company is doing well.
