I left the world of Advertising Software Development and running my own business to work for Emplas for a more exciting form of work and one that allows me to see my children more.

After 2 years of working for the business I still feel the move I made was the right one.

The company is a family business, the Directors are young, with families of their own and do not throw their weight about, but work respectfully with their staff. There is a very low turnover of office staff, and I joined a very well established team who welcomed me as the newcomer.

The work is fast-paced, very challenging but rewarding also. I would recommend this company even if you are not from the Window Industry.

At the beginning you will be excited about job but if you go on contract you will see the difference, you will have 45 hours per week in contract but you will work about 60 hours basically every week you do 10-12 unpaid hours. I refuse 2 times the contract because of this. Items are very heavy from 50 kg to 100+ and you have to handle alone off course at the end of the lorry will be someone who ask you if you can turn around the item and he can take it.after almost one and half year I quit in this time I see 3 generations of drivers come and leave. If you are new driver and have no experience is ok for a while but if you have experience then this place is not for you. 

I worked here for several months on the production floor and hated every minute of. Firstly, it is very much a "face-fits" and clique work atmosphere and you soon find out who the favourites are. Management are nonexistent and HR are your typical HR department - useless.

As for the work, well the company only really cares about the product and not the well being of their staff. The shifts are not great and not really flexible if you have family or other commitments. The pay is really poor for the area and as such the staff turnover is really high. I think everybody in Wellingborough has probably had a stint at this place.

Emplas is a great company to work for this will be my 2nd time of working for the company , as first time I had a great opportunity too try some thing else I’m life which unfortunately I had too leave emplas too take the opportunity for my self and it was a very hard decision as emplas felt like home and I never wanted to leave but I am glad now to be Working there once again with these great people and company 👍 I recommend too Any one who is looking for a great company too work for emplas is the way forward 😊

Have been working for Emplas for about a week now (going onto Two) and it's safe to say, I am enjoying it. Only had roughly 5ish hours of training, however I have caught on very well (being a Glazier).

The job itself can be very physically demanding, with glass weighing up to 55-60KG, but in the end it is worth it.

Management are very helpful as they are aware that I have a little one on the way. Measures have been put into place way before the due date which I am happy about. Very helpful when it comes to sickness to. Honestly cannot complain.

For me, it felt like I was second to the product, the only priority was getting the goods to the customers for the tick in the box for management to say we've delivered on time. 
     I've been expected to move 90+ Kg windows on my own, which is rather difficult in the back of a lorry that is loaded. On a typical day you'll be unloading about 2-3 tons of window frame/glass.
  During my 18 months at the company they went through a new driver every 2 months, as the work load was too great with very little if any appreciation. Which is why they are normally advertising on here for drivers.

A lot of managers without any clue about management

Multicultural place,but based on the people they employ could be much better

Work,work,work,stress, stress stress

Management treat staff like pets rather than workers, they dont teach new employees properly, it's a unsafe workspace, and due to work environment there has been many cases of covid-19, I wouldn't highly recommend not working for this company.

The culture of this company is what drives its passion for its clients. Teams really are client focused and have built fantastic relationships where people go above and beyond to not just deliver service, but add real value to their contracts.
There is opportunity for everyone to contribute with new ideas, and everyone is encouraged to get involved in team. Managers are always there to help and provide support when needed.

Working to daily targets, this role is fast paced and will keep you busy. Learning key skills in door manufacture, training was fantastic both on shop floor and through trainers. Management, strict but fair, with most being very approachable. With a modern day workplace culture, team members are there to help and support, while HR are fantastic with the support they have on offer.. if needed.
