It is very interesting and enjoyable to work at this place.I have learnt a lot during my work.My colleagues are very friendly and cooperative.I have learnt about maintaining personal hygiene,maintaining nutritional,physical, emotional and spiritual needs of residents.I learnt care of elderly and dementia care under same roof.The most enjoyable part was working together within team and having fun with each other and with residents during leisure time.Engaging residents in social activities like playing games,singing karoke with them and many more activities.Hardest part was during evening time when dementia residents become active and starts wandering around home.Sometimes they become aggressive and dealing them patiently at that time.

Lack of training, too many managers

Sink or swim, no support, instructions sent by text message which could be intrusive

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very busy, time constraints could be very challenging. Residents allowed to wander about in restricted areas.

Caring for the residents as I work nights I dont get much of a opportunity to mix with the residents

Lazy staff members who would rather sleep than answer call bells on a night shift

Can be very stressful at times

Quiet mainly as I work nights
Have to get a few residents up in the morning

When you have a problem with the way management treat staff and residents and you want to seek advice or report this no one will listen. You will not get help or even a call back!  Even contacting head office will get you no where they do not want to know. Training is provided for only few workers as “friends” won’t have to attend but still get signed off as they have attended. The manager passes her jobs onto seniors who haven’t got a back bone  You will be asked to give medication when not qualified! Bad practice.

Working at Mayfield Care Home has been an incredibly enriching experience, and I wholeheartedly give it a well-deserved 5-star rating. From the moment I joined the team, I felt a strong sense of purpose and dedication to providing exceptional care for our residents.

I work at Farrington's Care Home in Hatch End. I started as a care assistant and have had the opportunity to increase levels to team leader.
Its a difficult work environment as it is dealing with the elderly but it is a good feeling and there is lots of benefits. I also get paid every Friday which is great.

Very bad management.. Excepts to much work and not enough staff.
Always shouting at staff.. If you have any respect for yourself don't work here. 
Run off agancy staff most of the time. And don't answer the phone Omg people sacked for not answering the phone properly 

I worked at Wellfield house they did not tell me at interview 0 hour contract found out Couple shifts in . No training for care assistant put straight in , even though only done 2 months care 2 years ago , the food looked horrible terrible management . Don’t go there . Only there 8 days 

I would not recommend it to anyone! If you are looking for somewhere with low pay, unsociable hours, no training, harrasment/bulling, slander and even worse management then this is the job for you. I cannot stress this enough how horrible this work place enviroment is!

Big communication problem no help from management very clicky place to work to many staff stuck in there ways new staff feeling like outsiders residents were lovely a lot of the staff were nice but there was some bullying towards some staff
