Management couldn't organise the proverbial in a brewery. They don't know where half the customers are based so can't help drivers, and drivers are routinely sent out not knowing where they're going or where to go when they get there.
The worse you are at your job, the more you get away with, the better you are at your job the more work you're given to compensate for the others.
Zero work-life balance, you're expected to put the company first.
Despite HGV drivers being the only ones in the organisation to require a professional qualification to do their job, they're treated like scum.
Admin expect drivers to do most of their work for them, including finding out when hotels are closing/reopening during winter season.
Equipment is terrible, cages are broken and regularly overpacked, barrows are in horrendous condition, lorries are riddled with faults and not fixed (faulty taillifts, bald tyres, dashboards lit up like xmas trees with warnings). Management ignore all drivers complaints and feedback and are instead blamed for the faults. Management refuse to invest in proper equipment.
There is zero common sense, routes are put together on the basis of 'let's just get today out the way' rather than any actual sensible organisation, yet management wonder why so many new drivers leave after only a few weeks, if they stay that long.
Wouldn't be surprised if this company went under due to due poor management.


Fishers is Ok płace to work if you’re not afraid of hard work and long days . Typically you start between 3-7 in the morning and you have to load your truck then your out for deliveries.In my experience there’s no work life balance as you start early and finish late . Fishers don’t pay for brakes with I don’t agree with because you will work through your brakes as standard - you don’t have to but if you take na normal brake you will Finnish even later … this is the job for someone without family- a single man without commitments. Transport manager and team leaders are fantastic and I have to give them 5/5 stars . Sadly a lot off drivers coming and going.. this company have the potential to be really good work place but they have to rebalance all rounds / pay for brakes/ get trucks loaded for morning so you don’t have to start at 03:00 and spend 1-1,5 hours loading your truck then go out for deliveries- come back and unload your truck . They definitely got the potential but as it is right now it’s no good at all … sadly I’m in the process off looking for different work place .

With a 4am start for most routes it's an early start but an early finish. Weekly pay paid every friday and its also job and knock which is a rarity these days. Most of the drivers are very helpful as are the Team Leaders. Communication can be better sometimes and is sometimes fustrating between Transport department and Production department but I'm told that's how it is. 
Transport manager is very helpful and his door is always open to answer any questions as he's been with Fishers over 17 years.
If your back in the depot and your next load is ready you can load for the following day.
It can be physically demanding pulling heaving cadges or carrying heavy laundry bags so some degree of fitness is required. 
They do employ new drivers and probably the ideal job to learn your skills as a HGV Distribution driver as it has it all.
Only downside from my point is your hardly ever in the same motor as I've seen myself drive 3-4 different trucks in a working week.

I had to leave recently due to an unrelated accident with my hand, I'm only leaving a review because I feel the company has been misrepresent in other reviews by alot of salty workshy people.

On the production line, It's easy work, hard long hours. Nothing that isn't advertised on their post and nothing you wont get with any other 12 hour shifts. Its fast and repetitive which is at times unpleasant, but it's certainly doable. It's a shame this isn't 7-7 to accommodate those of us reliant on public transport.

The management and supervisors are all decent and friendly and will check how you are doing, you are not a robot imitation like some suggest. There is alot of migrant workers, most are decent but unfortunately the language barrier means there isn't much chit chat if you're next to them for 4 hours doing a repetitive work. 

I enjoyed my short time here. This would be excellent for younger people wanting a temp job and experience on a production line.

Zero work life balance working here. Literally just a number. Very high turnover in drivers. Lost a lot of experience in the short time I worked there. Driver complaints blatantly ignored, health and safety out the window despite numerous complaints, drivers left backs of this. Shame as it has the potential to be a good job. Unsocial hours and you must have own vehicle to work here. Poor pay for the job you're doing, especially with all the extras you end up doing. No overtime rates for drivers but they do for production. Unpaid breaks despite not having access to facilities, unlikely to get a holiday when needing one, no company sick pay despite it being a very physical job. Management not helpful and you feel your just a number with any health and safety complaints as they just get ignored time and time again thsts why I left alongside many others. Many good people work here, other drivers were all sound and transport team leaders all very helpful. 

I worked at their branch in Cupar for a little while, the first week was fun and the management were happy to let me learn. However the second week arrived and they expected me to get my targets on my second week and if i didnt they had a good old moan. They didnt take into account that the machines broke down and we were left standing around for 5-10 minutes at a time. At the job interview they said that if i had any problems to go see them e.g if i wasnt enjoying the job and so on. They didnt want me just walking out and leaving them short staffed. However, because i was off ill for days which couldnt be helped they got rid of me. 
During my short time there i saw several people walk out because they didnt like the way they were treated. 
Dont get me wrong the money was good but i started at 6am and finshed at 2:30pm. I just didnt find the world life balance good. 
They also told us one week that we were to start at 5am no matter what, they didnt give us any other choice.

Only worked there 6 months and seen about 50 or more people come and go. Very physically demanding, standing for 8 hours with only half an hour break, management don't care about their employees physically or mentally and you're expected to work till you pass out and hourly targets are ridiculous amounts.
A lazy person is good for them but someone who genuinely works hard never gets appreciated. There is also a big language barrier which can be dangerous, I nearly got my hand taken off from the language barrier. There are also problems with foreigners, they act like they own the place, shouting at people and get over loved by Management. When a machine gets broken engineers are sometimes never be found, you're sometimes standing for ten minutes waiting for the machine to turn on and all machines are somewhat broken but won't get funding to get them fixed properly. Avoid this place unless its you're absolute final option.

A typical day at work was very hard and intense most of the time no time for chatting with work mates as there was very strict targets to meet on a hourly basis and weekly also due to this fact there was always loads of overtime available to me. I learnt how to work as part of a team but also how to work by my self  to meet my own targets. The management at the workplace were very strict. They had little time to talk unless people were not hitting targets as they had bonuses to make but overall. They had a lot of time for me as i did none stop overtime and helped the business make the required targets all of the time. The hardest part of the job was making sure other team members were not slowing me down and helping them to meet there targets as well as mine. The best part of the job and the most fun was achieving all my targets and getting praise for doing well and hitting all hourly targets.

worked here in 2022 lasted about a month the team leaders and manager are sound enough and help you load the trailer but the work is brutaly hard especially in the summer months i never lasted till then but I've heard from long term workers its very hard in those months.  early starts 2AM and working into the tea time you have to carry upwards of 200 sack of sheets and towels this is clean and dirty Landry this was very hard work when having to climb stairs and having to squeeze in and out of fire exits. then there is the trolleys while i was there the wheels where falling off the things so it was very hard to load into hotels especially pushing them on carpets so pretty stressful overall its a fine job for new drivers learning there craft but again very hard work 

I feel the Engineer Manager was trying to get a good team of engineers but with one hand tied behind his back.

The management culture is basically sink or swim. 

My experience was to work with 2-people on shift which became one, then asked to do overtime resulting in a 62.5 hour week on nightshift. 

Note, you work 12.5 hours and get paid 12 hours. You get no paid breaks.

You will sign loads of paperwork on safety but you will be expected not to adhere to those practices to get the job done. 
Example, the second day on the job I was asked to fit a cover to a domestic wiring system system. I asked how I know the system is not live, the answer was, you don't. It took the engineer 2-hours to find the panel to isolate the system.

Hopefully they get it together and managers stop treating people like turds - I won't be there to see it though.
