The most traumatic experience at a job I've ever had and I've had some challenging jobs. I've always breezed probations and had a great working relationship with managers. It is a clicky, toxic work environment with old systems. A very outdated business who pretend to care about your mental health. Little-to-no training given. When I asked for more training it was my fault for not showing a willing to learn or arranging my own training with other staff members. I was also expected to write a list of what I needed to learn, shouldn't there be a checklist or training plan done by a manager? They cannot take accountability. There was a lack of communication, humiliation on teams chats (calling out errors and naming for others to see), poor management, unachievable expectations and micromanagement! The job had mind-numbing work, with technical challenges all the time. I felt judged constantly and they tried very hard at shattering my confidence, but I am proud that I didn't fit in there, as it wasn't a nice environment to work in. Also noticed it had little to no cultural diversity, which I always find a red flag.

Regular meetings with internal/external customers to improve lead times and improve on delivery promise. Occasionally visiting suppliers and carriers.

Weather managing a team of warehouse operatives or external clients, respect and emotional intelligence is important t gauge individual needs.


The company believes in team work, integrity and being open and honest.

FGH is very late to the home shopping online market, their pricing is not competitive and their IT systems outdated - This all makes working for them a very hard slog. Some employees have been there for years and are fantastic to work with, however, particularly in the design and marketing areas the management team are inexperienced and incompetent. I would not recommend FGH as a place to work or shop.

Generally a nice place to work, people are nice and the area is relatively clean and tidy. The job is basic but effective, Grattan and Candelisa have taken time to make sure that I have work and I'm trained for the job. I've learnt a lot while I have been there. The hardest part of the job is the physical part of it but that comes with the territory. Whats most enjoyable is the people I'm with.

I've worked within the head office for a few years now and it is a brilliant place to work. Everyone is very friendly and actually wants to see you make a success of your career.

I know the contact centre and warehouse have received some more negative reviews but the head office has a very good work culture that is focussed on being open, success and enjoying your work.

Manager hard to find, usually had to walk around the warehouse to find them
Work comes in all at once or not for 30 minutes (reflecting the work rate of the station before ours)


big area to work in,i liked it always kept myself even when i done my bit,helped other lines or tidied up then at home time managers would say you could work over-Best canteen in Bradford except no subsidies meals-farmers boys has for 1.50

Working here was my first office job, very good company to transition into work life in my early 20's. Culture was relaxed and allowed for autonomous working. Moving to WFH was smooth, they provided the equipment necessary and implemented a hybrid policy which they stuck by. 

Great management team with a direct focus on where to take the business and how to achieve it.

Big focus on staff development and advancement, rewarding those who achieve.

Healthy work life balance and a great Xmas party

God place to work, nice and relaxed, have good flexiility, and good to be able to do hybrid working. Pay not great for non management and cannot go further in any role unless you are management which is a shame as it does have potential.
