It used to be excellent. Not any more. Very poor upper management who spend more time going on foreign business trips (holidays) than striking new deals with new customers. Serious lack of investment in either their staff or new strategies for growth. Consistent wasting of budgets in the wrong areas. Almost zero budget for, or confidence in, training of staff. They are terrified of training staff to a high standard in case they leave. Problem with that is they're left with average staff who never leave! Recent redundancies of over 20 good people. More to follow likely. 

The company used to innovate and design and manufacture their own products. Aside from cameras and photo paper, now they just buy rebadged versions of other companies products. The software and online solutions part of the business is a total mess both globally and regionally, with multiple vendors from multiple countries offering disjointed and confusing lineups. Be prepared to personally invest in a boxing helmet, as you'll end up banging your forehead against the nearest brick wall for most of the time you're working there.

Most of the above is a direct result of the deflation of the traditional photographic market as consumers drifted away towards mobile, online sharing and storage, and a 'no need to print' attitude. Nothing wrong with that. Unfortunately Fujifilm were incredibly complacent and did nothing to adapt.

Go to work, clock in, go to which ever section ive been asked to clean, vacuum all the floors. collect all washing up ie. cups plates cutlery, fill the dishwasher and put it on then wash all floors with disinfectant based detergent. polish all meeting room tables, wipe down all doors and sides and hand rails. Remove dirty bin bags and replace with fresh, empty dishwasher and take bins out then clock out. There isn't anything that's too hard i like a challenge and i don't receive that in this job role.
The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing that when the workers come in the next day they will have a clean workplace.

The early part of my career at Fujifilm was exciting.  I was able to enhance my commercial skills and develop new skills in areas such as international logistics, margin management and channel management.    

Fujifilm has, however, been in long-term decline.  Advances in technology have rendered much of its traditional core business obsolete.  Fujifilm has been slow to move into growth areas due to its rigidity and culture.  The hardest part of my role has therefore been trying to innovate, plan for the future and introduce new ways of working.

Previously worked here for 16yrs. Great at first but changed over time. Became very stressful and the management didn't have a clue what they were doing. I experienced different roles within the company in my time and in the end my mental health was really bad which caused me to put in my notice and leave. The pay and benefits were good but the lack of management training was obvious. There was a lot of back stabbing, lying and favouritism.  Following of policies and procedures was a must unless the managers decided otherwise.... I.e to meet a deadline 'just get it done' was used frequently 

The company is very focused on staff welfare and send regular updates about how our work is playing a role in developing medicines. There is always some form of family social event occurring such as BBQ's Cricket etc. Staff benefits covering healthcare/dental plans, tech, cycle to work and car leasing also make up impressive portfolio of staff perks.  The induction process is flawless and the staff are all so helpful.  I cannot recommend this place enough.

The culture and people at FUJIFILM Business Innovation are second to none.  Everyone is super friendly and approachable and it makes going about your day that much better.  

A typical day will; be responding to emails and staying on top of your daily duties.  Usually you will have at least 1 meeting a day and its a good opportunity to meet your colleagues in person and discuss your daily tasks.  Management is always very approachable and adopt and open door policy. 

As this was a temporary position FujiFilm prefers to keep holiday pay as a "bonus" to be paid at the end of the contract rather than letting staff take days holiday, which is fine over a short term contract but can get frustrating after a few months. All the co-workers were more than helpful and good company during the working day. The hardest part of the job was the constant repetitiveness which is often associated with any factory production role.

Ignorant management stuck up in the old ways refusing to move forward and evolve

Working with chemicals isn't the best option but the people who work there are not too bad

Nothing , they lie about shift pattern promising 4 on 6 off then put you on 3 shift pattern 5 day week . Horrible place to work .

Bad shifts , no option to move when unhappy

Dangerous chemicals and space suits all day long make it awful 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Awful , no windows , sterile environment

Worked here for a couple of months working in the town centre promoting the company, they treated me well and gave me good pay for what I did. However I was later to find out that the manager of the company had liquididated the company and I was informed by the news and a fellow colleague. The manager didn't respond the the media and till hasn't given me an apology.
