typical day working consisted of serving food, clearing and cleaning tables and also supervising the play frame. I learned to work as part of a team and also to make some decisions myself and work on my own initiative. the management wasn't great, there was no real communication between boss and employees. I hosted parties and was getting excellent reviews however once the boss came in they changed the way they wanted the parties done and my reviews started to decrease. I didn't have a very nice experience here as I felt like I was being picked on quite a bit by boss and employees. The most enjoyable part of the job was hosting the parties and talking to new people and interacting with the kids.

i worked at funky monkeys for around six-seven months. i loved all the girls who worked there they made me feel really welcome when i started. i feel management didn’t give proper training and i was rushed into things, and i felt quite belittled and down a lot while i worked there hence why i left. some management do actually gossip about other staff but not all management and feel as though it had an extent to the friendliness.

i liked my job here and met some lovely girls. working along side children is great and some of the roles allow you to get involved with kids parties. the only bad side was management i felt they did not give you proper training and then would expect you to do it right the standard age for someone working here is pretty young so they were easily belittled by the boss which i also did not like

My review of funky monkeys is overall positive, I started to work at the salon to get experience of the work life and build my social skills which funky monkeys provided for me. 
The manager and other staff were very welcoming and caring which helped me feel confident working there.

Excellent place to work and gain experience as you worked most days on your own.  I had to think on my feet and deal with day to day problems without havi g to run it by managers as the trust was fully with the individual working there.

I love working here. You form a bond well with your co-workers, and management is great. Really great job interacting with customers and learning to make food. Additionally, forming bonds with customers and members is very rewarding as you get to watch the children grow and mature, which is amazing.

funky monkey was a lovely place to work but a few things could of been changed like the amount of staff they had working and making sure people could work the shifts before they got handed out.
the best part about working there was how friendly the staff was and getting ready for kids parties

really unfriendly staff a terrible experience i was under payed and not paypayed for a lot of the payed training days. Absolutely terrible company to work for the one in spytty newport the staff swear in front of children are dirty they are fouled mouthed and common as muck

I did enjoy working here but i was sacked for the wrong reason and not a good way they did it. I told them to check the system and they didn't listen to me and i could prove what i was falsely accused but they didn't seem to listen to my side of the conversation.

fast busy paced bar work, good customers, good work colleagues.  
very fair and laid back manager. like a family unit there. most enjoyable bit is the other staff and the worst bit is the late hours.
