the most loveliest team I’ve worked with. My manager was the best manager Ive ever had and was extremely supportive and encouraging. I’ve learnt so much and there is a real focus on training to help individuals become independent and confident. The staff were welcoming and there was always an open door policy where I felt comfortable to ask my manager any questions. If I had any worries I would simply communicate with my manager and have it resolved. The positive work environment really promoted and motivated me to work to the highest standards, increasing work productivity. Thank you GSF and my manager I cannot say enough good things about this employment. My manager definitely goes beyond to support her team and it shows in the high standards of work produced. If anyone has never worked in this field, I would highly recommend it. It is a positive and beneficial workplace.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Cleaning equipments are well provided. 
Working in the afternoon soothes my lifestyle and the workplace is close to where I live. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Staff shortages, not being supported and listened to by superiors, toxic co-workers

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work building is lovely, very spacious and safe place to work at.
Not really comfortable with the work culture,   staff seem afraid to speak up on certain concerns about  issues at the workplace.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Sign in. The people works  in the office building are getting ready to go home whilst us the cleaners stand by waiting for the supervisor to delegate us on which tasks to do. 
Not much time to socialise with co-workers or people working in the office, not much enough time to do so.
After the shift is done, sign out then go home.

Constantly paid the incorrect hours by the hopeless management who never listen or visit the building. We never get any of the supplies we request and are constantly moaned at, having more jobs added to what we do with the same time to do them and no pay increase. 

The mobile supervisor thinks it’s ok to not tell people that the salary pay contract would start sooner, causing all staff to miss 4 hours money. Don’t expect to be paid your overtime either, as I was waiting 3 months. 

But, do expect to be phoned up early hours of the morning being asked to go in at 6 am, making you feel obliged to do so, even though your contract doesn’t state you have to do so. 

I’ve never worked for a more worse company in my life.

Terrible management who never visit sites . They do not care for the security or mental well being of their staff . As told by supervisor you are just a body not a valued employee . Poor pay for anti social hours worked . Supervisors try their best and to be fair are very very good but they have their hands tied as management are appalling . Some staff have been on final warning for years but poor work is never dealt with .

I was a toupee employee with this company when the cleaning was put up for tender. Worked for them for about a year not a single issue. As fair as contract cleaning gos. Took on a senior role while in employment. Great support from the regional. I Was in a job i was very over qaulified for after redundancy from my previous job and my manager recognised this and gave me an opportunity to move up. Thank you gsf was a pleasure

Since working at GSF I have learnt the importance of chemicals and what they do and how they work. My co-workers helped me out alot since I have started on how everything works and what the routine is. The hardest part of the job is if there are loads of cabins to clean and beds to make whilst the passengers are await their cabin. My supervisors I find are very friendly, and understandable. I enjoy my work.

My time working at GSF was a great experience, my manager and supervisor were very fun to be around but always made sure the jobs got done. I loved the different areas of work we would do, mainly it was cleaning ferries, but other times we would work cruise ship days at the ferry port and a few employees got the privilege of travelling to Coventry to do a deep clean.

The company is brilliant :)

This company (like many others) don't care about staff,their mentality it's only make the staff work hard without any incentive.Work weekends at £10 a hour and it's not to all the staff,some staff earning less than that.They find difficult to find staff when needed,guess why!!!Poor management,heaven don't know how to execute specialist jobs,lack of leadership.Just avoid work for them.

I love my job at wightlink Lymington . I feel a sense of achievement of all my cleaning tasks .I feel very much appreciated . My Boss helps me in every way she can listening to suggestions and always there if I have any problems . Love my job and do the best I can taking pride in my work I would recommend fully working for gsf sandylight :-)

Solid work environment, can’t complain, average pay, hours are great for students looking to pick up some money. The work isn’t difficult and you don’t interact with many people, being a cleaner for this company is ideal if you like to just get on with your work and not be interrupted or have to deal with people much.
