I will add to the Victorian culture absolutely disgusting company to work for they say team environment this is actually complete opposite. Like to employ Polish and Romanians as they exploit the laws to the full. You are their slave the time your toilet breaks you have ten minutes in the morning and 30 minutes for lunch in a ten hour day, however don’t expect to take this as the boss will dictate to you when you can take and although you start at 7 you may not get to take your lunch till 3 sometimes later. You maybe employed as skilled workforce however they save money on office cleaners and you will be expected to clean the toilets, kitchen area and the whole site if you happen to have a short break between jobs in fact even if you are snowed under you will still be expected to do this.
Never work for this company it is the pits, in fact never get your car repaired here they use the cheapest of cheap materials will never replace a broken part they will always repair to save money,. You maybe told that you need to use this facility but actually you have a choice!
The work may look ok for a short while but it won’t last they don’t want the workforce to do a good job just a quick bodge and fix,

What is the best part of working at the company?
Tbh there isn’t anything I could say that is good. Any potentially good point has bad points that totally negate the good.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The time restrictions. It is almost impossible to finish on time and I’m a quick delivery driver. Traffic and terrible routing are the cause of this. But you may finds you also have a delivery in the middle that you have to wait for 30-60 mins and unable to do some of the later deliveries as they are before the time and will not let you deliver them

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Solemn and stressful. Finding parcels in the morning that the sorters have lost. Trying to fit the load in the van. Unable to load 90% of your load until you have found one of the the parcels on your route that has been misplaced.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful from the offset, frustrating throughout the day and unrewarding when you have finished

They pay you on time, they are a very understanding employer and treat their staff with respect, introducing clients to housekeeper and always there to support you....A great wee team of Housekeepers all help each other out

There is no stress when you love your job and your bosses fully support and listen to their Housekeepers and clients

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Housekeepers are independently working with clients in their own home, if you drive, love cleaning and have an eye for detail....join the Halo team

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
USUALLY 9:30 AM start...clean a house in 2 hours then go to your next client, you choose your own hours, You can do as many hours as you want and choose your days

I thought I would copy and paste this previous review as it seems exactly like it it sums it up in one, you want minimum wage, to buy your own company uniform, no benefits, not get paid for sick days, be called into the directors office and stand in front of them like a school kid, have an assigned lunch hour, take your own tea and coffee to work (yes really!) and have to use different toilets than the directors, then this is the place for you.

If however you want career progression, appreciation for hard work, directors that are innovative and inspiring, transparency, decent salary, benefits, a pension then your talents are better used elsewhere.

They'll fire you as quick as they hire you if they don't like the way you smile at them,
As well there are 10 hour days and you have to be constantly working not stop to even pick your nose,

I have really enjoyed my time at Halo. My boss Ryan Mcneish and I work together in a small UK design team of two. Together we research, discuss and design furniture collections and lifestyle concepts to help evolve the Halo brand both nationally and internationally.

The Halo team are lovely, and it's a fun place to work.
I also work closely with the product development team in the Far East and have a good international working relationship with my contacts.

The hardest part of my job is making design decisions, but this is also the most exciting because it allows me freedom in design and an outlet for creativity and personality within my role.

Terrible work culture (everyone against everyone), poor benefits, bare legal minimum leave/lunch breaks (30 mins for a 10 hour day) long hours, no employee support whatsoever (you're just a replacable cog in a machine), revolving door recruitment policy (it is so bad it was pointless learning names as they would be gone in a week), no job security, the highest labour turnover I have ever seen (I'm surprised people still apply).

I'm surprised they are still running, they must imprison the staff left otherwise I'm sure they would have left. 

The director actually said once "everyone is replacable" just sums up the kind of working environment there.

Like a Victorian workhouse or prison. 

Oh..but you do get bank holidays off...

I had a lot of fun at Halo. I got to take on so many new and scary roles and I absolutely loved it. I got taught lots of new skills such as washing hair, cleaning the work area and at College now, I have learned to do a couple of cuts which I am so proud to say I can do. The hardest part of the job was getting over the fear of doing something wrong but the staff helped me massively and helped when I was struggling. The most enjoyable part of the job was definitely the hard work. I love keeping busy and getting on with work it is very enjoyable to me.

A typical day at work involves lifeguarding poolside helping out on reception and cleaning off pool. I've learnt many valuable life skills such as first aid and CPR skills. I have learnt how to deal with members of the public efficiently from being on reception. The management and co-workers are all easy to work with and function well as a team. The most enjoyable part of the job is knowing that I am part of the team at Halo which gives people, who enjoy to kip fit and active, the opportunity to do so by using the facilities provided.

This has to be the worst place I have ever worked in, the working conditions are terrible with sweltering heats.
The overall hygiene of the factory is not even worthy of a star in my experience, I could no longer stay there due to what I was seeing, how this place is still functioning is beyond me.
My advice is look for other jobs before applying for this, they literally put mouldy chocolate on to the bars!.
