Expect you to do the job with inadequate machines. Loading shovels don’t even reach the hopper and are full of mould after being told we were getting brand new machines. Being told how to drive them off people who have never drove them. Poor management and support. Accident waiting to happen. People and vehicles just walk up behind you with no achknowledgement. Welfare facilities shocking have to have your lunch listening to a zoom call , that’s if you don’t get called back out before it has finished. Understaffed and even more so now since I was dismissed for one small incident in probation period. 

I would describe this job as okay. If you want a steady plod along job earning average money then this might suit you. If you are a driven individual looking to earn decent money and really advance your career, look elsewhere. Decent set of lads, management okay as management teams go. However, you do feel like the company is stuck in the past across the board, religiously stick to systems which clearly have many failure points I.E, RAMS and other documentation still done on paper!!

Management are always right, no care about the work staff,  learned nothing from them,  if you create relationships with site owner management they don't like it because you know more than they do,  workplace culture is, if he/she isn't doing it why should I,  hardest part of the job,  getting management to listen to you,  most enjoyable,  leaving at the end of the shift!!

Going home because it's not very well organised and don't treat everyone the same

All of it  because there no team work or respect for the job we have to do

Dusty machines not maintained property and no respect or team work 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Absolutely rubbish machines not maintained properly. Very stressful and to be honest it's making me ill

Working for Hargreaves was a fun and learning experience, the management team are always there if you need extra help with something and the team leaders of every shift will always be there to help if further training is required, definitely recommend them if you are looking to peruse a career.

Working in partnership with the client to meet demand for the business. 

Staff are on the whole compliant and have high standards, The environment is challenging. 

Staff are welcoming and friendly and on the whole are receptive to change and embrace the changes.

Pay ok safety ok. Management terrible. Supervisors terrible but that’s down to management. Back stabbing is the norm. Left the company before I got dismissed for telling the truth and this company don’t like the truth. Stay well clear of this company it grinds the most patient person down. Bully boy culture that is what this company is all about lead by back stabbing managers

discuss what is to do for the shift. what we have to accomplish       keep the management up to speed of any developments.     do the job as best we could. make sure everyone is on the same wave length  and able to work to end of each shift  keeping everyone happy and safe going home knowing the job is ok and everyone is ok as well

Absolutely enjoyed working for Hargreaves, typical day was 8-4, which was really good because it meant I could help at home with the kids. Got to learn new skills and improve on some soft skills such as working within smaller teams. Management was understandable, dealt with any issues quickly and effectively

Work force is great and the job is excellent. Training has been provided but suggest other training what you would actually like to do and be relevant for jobs and get told no. Management like to say no to a lot of suggestions which doesn't help moral but it's a good job you work with a good bunch of lads
