The machines are all heavily run down and knackered. The lads working there are ok though and the toolroom guys are especially good unlike most places i have worked in the past. A really weird thing here is there is no conveyor / rollers for finished packs, you have to manually stack boards onto trolleys and push them! Very hard and back breaking work here, not worth the money.  There is no parking anywhere near the site either.

a typical day at work consisted of general office duties, dealing with customer orders, and creating jobs for the mill.
what I learned is how to process customer orders, invoices and jobs through a company system.
The management were good very supportive and good to work with.
The co-workers were good to work with and friendly. 
the hardest part of the job was taking in every bit of information, eg. knowledge of types of timber and what needs doing to the product.
the most enjoyable part of the job was learning the company system and improving my business admin experience.


Appalling. Very Poor management, toxic place to work with utter disregard for your safety!
Promise of progression ,but not given unless you want to hover around and feed egos….

Shicking place to work promise you the world, but dont follow it through. Lie to you making u stay with the company. Only want targets meeting no regard for health and safety or for the lads on the job. Higher management put so much stress on the mill manager only decent members or the management is crainey

Awfull place of work.
Run by  greedy directors.
Pay always wrong.
12 mins break.
17 mins dinner.
All physical manual backbreaking labour.
All machines faulty.
No health and safety.
No on site parking.
The list is honestly endless

Transport manager has not got a clue can't driver.and never been out off Hull apart from when he goes on holiday it just a job  there's no job satisfaction 

Well organised and successful business, great feeling of team collaboration, progression and development opportunities from the start. Health and Safety huge priority across all sites.

Some people get opportunities for progression but not everyone does, not sure what the criteria is. The company is spread over 4 sites all in a similar area.

Cam be a difficult job at times but overall not the worst place to work. Home every night, can be long days but that's just part of working a heavy goods driver.
