Where I worked (Horndean), if you have learning disability or special need like myself who has autism, do not work here. On my first day, I was told what coloured cloths to use because COSHH, and told and told where I was working, but was not shown or a routine or shadowing (which I requested at interview and was told this is okay) so first day, I was confused on where to start. 

Eventually I got a routine, but then suddenly everything I did wrong, I was belittled a lot, rather than giving advice. Also was made to look stupid.

 The supervisors were very awful to me. They were both rude & unsupportive. They didn't seem to care either. I didn't last 2 weeks because of this.  

The rest of the cleaning team seemed friendly & nice, and even the person who interviewed me was kind & informative.

My advice to Hayward, get better training when it comes to special needs or a learning disability at work. Otherwise, I recommend people to not work here.

My 35 years in the cleaning industry has taught me that communication and flexibility is key, training and trusting in people who work for you ensures successful service delivery.  
Recruitment can often be the most difficult part of the job but also the most enjoyable part of the job too, because being a people person, I have met some amazing people in this industry.

- No idea how to manage
- Supervisors they hire, haven’t a clue how to supervise
- Don’t ever to get support from the company 
- The managers are only interested in them selves 
- Pay system is so out of date it’s unmanageable, you’ll never know what you’re getting each month, so budgeting is very difficult and it doesn’t have to be.
- You never get thanked for your hard work and believe me they make work very hard. They just give you more and expect it done.
- The standards of work is shoddy. 
- No proper Health and Safety procedures.
Like I said the worst employers I’ve ever come across- STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS LOT



I generally enjoyed working at the college and the hours and location suited my situation. I worked 3 hours a day but was made to feel i had to take on extra when staff left or went sick, There was no sick pay and you were made to feel guilty if you yourself were sick. The work culture i found to be challenging as there was alot of negativity from the supervisor towards other staff which ended in staff leaving which was a shame as there were no staff to cover nor any new cleaners applying for the positions.

Management don’t know right from there left, completely useless, 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Absolutely worst, you are judged as a group and if one doesn’t do there job properly everyone gets told off, unfortunately there’s quite a few incompetent cleaners 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Rush rush rush 2 much area for one cleaner

the owner I cant fault on anything the workshop manger was just a bully, but the life experiences that came with the job was the best bit with car ramps and every tool you can imaging at your finger tips my cars were always looked after when I had finished the customers cars.

I like the place j work at. People i work with and people at a place we work at are great. When it comes to management of the company I am less impressed. I wasn't taken seriously many times. We have trouble with stock delivery and many times we had to find our own way about it. 
I'm not sure about the amout of people working in the company and not really sure about their system but I do know they lack the work force for the amount of places they provide work for. If one goes ill suddenly replacement is hard to find. 

Just don't work for them. Management are rude and so are the supervisors. The toilets were awful to clean as students didn't care what they did in there. 
If they were short staffed they asked you to do more hours to cover them instead of covering them but then when you needed a favour in return they didn't want to give it to you. 
If you wanted reassurance from the management you wouldn't get it. She just told you to get on with things even when the supervisor was the reason staff were leaving.

Rubbish management, pay is ridiculously low. Nobody speaks English because they employ foreigners because the pay is borderline NMW. Night staff allowed to sleep and management do nothing but docked my wages and cries to the police when told exactly where to stick their rubbish job. Do not work for these crooks, she is uneducated and won't deal with anything  you  need  help  with.  Pay isn't  on time  either.

Boss this rude aggressive towards his staff and management no this at head office has had more than one complaint about his behaviour and his actions towards his staff at Royal Holloway University site for hayward services won't say his name as the company and the people no that work for him and the Clints no  his name begins with a R last name I
