Worked here for three years ,when I started here it was a really nice place to work it felt like a family everyone worked as team and everyone helped each other out ,Then the high management started chipping away at the team and getting ride of people that made it feel like a family, Then they bring people in that don't have cule in what they doing and you end doing the job of three people and then get told that your own job is not good enough ,that when your mental health and attitude changes towards the place and you strat to not care as much but u still go in every day because of the residents because u don't want to let them down. The magment never stick to what they say they promise you training and sumtimes  it comes and other times if you ask about it you get told your have to pay for that your self .

One of the more demanding aspects of my role is managing team performance and behaviour issues while also maintaining morale and operational standards

My typical day involves overseeing team operations, supporting staff, maintaining high standards, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the department

Going into work at inspired village post graduating has been a great experience, I have had plenty of opportunities within this company to work with an array of people in multiple departments. During this time I have been able to develop my skills due to the highly skilled employees I have worked with who are always willing to share their knowledge. The sense of community within the workplace had a very positive impact on me when I joined the company and my needs felt very important to those in the management teams, who I have found to be very supportive of my journey within the company. This company is great for people looking for a dynamic work place, a supportive team and those who are always looking for a challenge within their role. 

Wide variety of work, not enough time to complete, lack of resources to carry out the job.  The job description does not reflect reality. Management are incompetent and too busy protecting their own backs to manage effectively and support staff.  Staff pitted against each other and lied to.  No respect no support and made to feel you're the problem. Not listened to inability to access management when problems happen. Expected to work over and beyond with no  additional pay or able to take lieu time for extra hours worked. No exit interviews carried out due to village manager not allowing staff to work their notice. Not a good experience.

I worked in Housekeeping I loved cleaning for the residents. My line manager was amazing she was exceptionally organised and compassionate if any of the team needed a personal day and would always do her best to accommodate holidays. Sadly the management & administration team were very cold and it created a lot of toxicity between the rest of the staff. It’s a shame as it would be a 5 star place to work if it wasn’t for that aspect. The pay was very poor as well. But the residents are lovely and great to work alongside with. This was at Tattenhall ~ Chester, UK.

Total lack of support, gas lighting, excessively high expectations and work load

I thought i had the opportunity to create something amazing. The truth was very different with lack of support, excessively high expectations and a toxic operations structure

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working on my own with a full restaurant and being told after thirty plus years in the industry that I needed to remember preparation is the key

Management lacks clear organisation and direction, resulting in minimal guidance and unclear expectations for staff. Workloads are high, pay does not reflect responsibilities, and support is limited when difficulties arise.
Staff turnover is very high, with roles frequently re-advertised, suggesting ongoing retention issues. While the role may seem positive at first, underlying problems become apparent over time.
Colleagues and residents are generally pleasant, but staff—particularly housekeeping—are overstretched and undervalued. Work–life balance is poor, despite claims of flexibility, and professionalism from management can be inconsistent.

Can’t keep staff , high turnover and poor residents suffer ,

Management not wanting to pull there way and expecting a limited amount of staff to cover everywhere

Basic you basically have to work answers out yourself

Really stressful, not enough hours in the day to get everything done, and having to cover for staff who will not help you

Beautiful site.  Wonderful residents. Fantastic kitchen.

My workload was excessive and I wasn’t given the support I needed.

Very corporate with poor management.

Very busy I was the only chef and although the residents loved me and my food, I wasn’t able to operate properly.

The pay was good, the residents are lovely, most team members are nice too.

Upper management not having a clear vision and not listening to the team. Very messy organisation, not honest to the residents

Hectic, led poorly with hands off approach. Lack of guidance and let staff do what they want. Toxic culture
