I've had the privilege of working at ITH Pharma for the past two years, and it's been nothing short of an incredible journey. I joined ITH Pharma in 2015 as a Compounder, and it was a dream come true after struggling to find a job in my field of study (Biomedical Science). From day one, the experience was incredibly rewarding. The first few months stood out for how welcoming the atmosphere was and how well-structured the training program was. Impressively, the training has only improved since then, constantly evolving to meet even higher standards.

One of the most remarkable aspects of working at ITH Pharma is the opportunity for growth. I’ve had the chance to progress into increasingly senior roles and even transfer between departments. For those eager to learn and develop their careers, this company is the perfect place. I’ve been able to become a GMP Trainer and assist the HR department - two opportunities that have helped me build a wide range of skills, from aseptic compounding techniques to training coordination and staff development.

A typical day at work runs smoothly and is well‑organised, especially in the Packing area where I’m based.

During my time here, I’ve learned how important teamwork and good communication are. Working closely with colleagues has helped me become an even faster and more effective worker, and it’s clear that the team relies on supporting each other to keep everything moving.

Management is very supportive. They are always available when needed, and the feedback they provide is clear and sufficient. 

The workplace culture is friendly and team‑oriented. Good relationships with colleagues motivate me every day, and I genuinely enjoy coming to work because of the people around me. 

The hardest part of the job is simply maintaining the pace and accuracy required, but as a fast worker, I find it manageable and even motivating. 

Overall, this is a supportive workplace with strong teamwork and a positive environment.

I worked for ITH for a few years. Working there was extremely draining. They expect you to work extremely fast and the workload is beyond realistic. If you do not meet expectations they will not hesitate to sack you. A lot of people who start working there get the sack. They will also tie you in by charging you for training. You will have to pay a maximum of £1000 if you leave within a year. Everybody hates working there! You are treated like a slave. General chat amongst colleagues while working is frowned upon and you will be told my management to NOT TALK. Only a max of 4 out of 30 people can be off on one day, which means you will hardly get the annual leave you want. You will also be expected to work overtime almost everyday. If you speak up against management you will be classed as difficult and may risk losing your job. Management there is a joke. The owners only care about the company's turnover and do not care about their employees and their wellbeing. You will leave work everyday completely exhausted, mentally and physically. Do not waste your time and find a job elsewhere.

I joined the company at entry level 13 years ago with no relevant past experience and was given full training as a manufacturing operator working within the clean rooms. In the last 13 years I have had the opportunity to progress from entry level right the way up to management whereby I'm currently responsible for a team of more than 50 members of staff. The training, encouragement, and support that I've received over the years has helped to develop my self confidence, not only at work, but also in my personal life. My career at ITH has been the lifeline that has enabled me to start a family in London and to get a foot on the property ladder. When I joined the company I never envisaged that I would've stayed for 13 years, as this was not an initial long term career choice, however, the people that I work with on a daily basis, the overall family feel, and the diversity of all walks of life have made it impossible for me to contemplate leaving.

I have been at ITH pharma for a couple of weeks now, nothing more than I expected. A very fast paced job where we are required to finish batches as soon as possible as the company is patient focused services. 
The workplace culture is really great, people are really welcoming all the way from HR team to the cleaners of the premises, everybody is friendly and help is always there if you need it. 

The hardest part is (as expected) the attention to details for a long period of time. At the end of the day mistakes will affect the patients, so by doing it right, you are helping someone out there! 

The most enjoyable thing is that you get the feeling of helping patients get the best treatment. You feel proud every-time you do your job well as you know it will help patients battling their diseases.

Overall, I would say ITH pharma is a good place to work at, being honest nothing to complain about.

As company currently has a no-ovetime policy, you are rushed into completing your work and squeezed dry during the very frequent busy days.

Many people in leadership positions clearly do not possess the human skill or empathy to be occupying these positions, and as a result, the employees are overworked and borderline bullied.

High management does hear about this mistreatment problem, but won't interfere, as they are busy looking at the profit numbers.

As expected, the turnover on all positions is ridiculously high, and people rarely stay for more than one year (they make you sign a contract that specifies you have to pay for training if you leave before one year).

If you are looking for a place to aquire some pharmaceutical experience, I strongly advise you do it somewhere else. This is but a production line with very little to actually learn.
If you are just looking for a job, go somewhere else, as you will be overworked and underapreciated here.


They are strict about everyone following procedures but that's what I expected when making medicines. Training is pretty intense - they won't let you do anything by yourself until you've passed tests and you're confident of what to do. You always have someone senior supervising the area you're working in and they are helpful - a lot of them have started out as assistants so there are definitely opportunities to grow. Feedback is important to them; they have regular meetings where we are asked for issues to discuss otherwise if you have a problem you can have a word with one of the managers who are approachable. It's a busy job but the fact you are part of a friendly team that are helping people makes it all worthwhile.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I had a very negative experience working at this organisation. I felt there was a lack of respect and professionalism from management, and employee concerns were not handled fairly or effectively. The work environment was stressful and unsupportive. Based on my experience, I would encourage to carefully consider other organisations that value and respect their staff. And also saves the time.
No respect, no understanding, even not listening the concerns of employees.

I had the worst experience of my life working at this job. The expectations were unrealistic and my supervisors were incredibly arrogant. The management was careless and there was no work life balance whatsoever. The company didn't even provide sick pay during the probation period, which was a ridiculous 6 months.

In addition to the lack of benefits, the wage was also extremely low. The job was extremely demanding and I was expected to work overtime on some weekends. This made it nearly impossible to have any sort of personal life outside of work.

The job was a complete nightmare and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The lack of support and care from the company made it a truly terrible experience. I would never work there again and I would advise anyone looking for a job to stay far away from this company.
