I worked at Luton airport at Yo! Sushi, the store is a franchise. 
Overall it wasn't a great place to work for, the other team members made it bearable to come in each day, however, certain levels of management were awful, there have been several complaints about a team leader and how they speak to other members of the team. Be prepared to work long hours and if you do a lot of evening shifts, be aware you will leave later than 10:30pm a lot of nights. 
The best shifts to have are early mornings from 4am - 12/1pm or middle shifts which very few people are given during the week . 
rotas are sent out each week however they are always sent very late,a lot of the time they would be sent on Saturday night, so people wouldn't know if they are on shift for the morning unless they wait for the rota to be sent. Certian people in managment have really poor time management skills so if you are a white pass due to security be prepared to wait a long time for an escort too, depending on who picks you up to go through security. 
Not sustainable of people with young families.I have heard that they aren't employing students because of scheduling isn't great and they need people for long term rather than short term. Overall think carefully if you want to work here. the pay is ok, 11 per hour/ more for team leaders. 

They treat new people horribly, some will even refuse to acknowledge or talk to u to make u feel comfortable but there were a few good people there. Management were bad, there was a clear ranking of who got more respect. They treat u like a robot and if u were not not constantly moving they would call u slow. It was a huge deal to be seen talking to colleagues or even just standing still for a minute but management and other colleagues who spoke their Languages were constantly doing this very same thing u was demanded not to do. It is not a good working environment, the higher manager strikes fear into employees and doesn’t even attempt to build a relationship or get to know new people which I find disgusting because you should not want your employees to be afraid of u and run away as soon as they see him. You are literally watched on a camera by him which he should not even be doing. I just don’t recommend. 

I worked in Edinburgh Airport with Lagardere, the team we had was fantastic as was the management. We had two stores one was the watch collection and the other was Discover Scotland. I worked mostly in the watch collection and the training received was excellent. We got to work with high end luxury watch brands and become brand ambassadors for said brands. The only negative thing I have to say was because we were a small team it meant we were alone for most of the shift but being an airport there was always passengers to talk to, the only reason I don’t still work there is because Edinburgh airport decided that they wanted another shop in our place and made us all redundant including all management team.

A typical day at work included a very early 4-5am shift each day. I have gained a lot of knowledge while working with this company although it has been for a short period of time I can gladly say the management was very kind and supportive. The hardest part of the job was the early shifts, it does become a routine the more you do early shifts. I enjoyed meeting new people from all parts of the world, having conversations with people from everywhere and seeing them happy with the customer service I or my colleagues have provided with, which in the end made my day.

You have sometimes where customers can be very rude

Ok I suppose there’s lists of different types of people 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Well you have good days and bad days

Long hours standing dealing with the public, underpaid for the roles I was doing, unappreciated by management, went to management and HR about problems staff were having and it was ignored/not dealt with. 
Communication from higher level management to shop staff is astonishingly bad. 
Most staff are nice to work with. 

It was a great experience moving from Heathrow to Birmingham Airport. Plenty to implement in growing Birmingham airport.
Will be a successful travel environment in coming years and high end brands will start appearing.

Not l good place to work, silly hours,not enough money for early start,no motivation,no perks, standing all day in the same spot,more of a cleaner than a retail assistant.
Always short of staff.

I worked for this company for many years and it’s the most unprofessional place to work. Management is horrible specially higher management. They are bullies and on one respects staff. Total horrible company to work.

The Management team are very supportive,  although some of the staff's can be lazy and look for excuses to hide around, but overall its a beautiful place to work.
