My typical day at work. I start at 8am and finish at 4pm.
I have learned a fair amount of knowledge working here as an Administrator but having been working here for about 2 years and was told I could be trained to be a go higher in the department or to learn extra knowledge of another role. This hasn't happened and I was told recently that there is no progression and if I want it, I was to look elsewhere and do better to get promoted.
I was also told I would get bonuses at Christmas (every year), not once been rewarded for going the extra mile. 
I do enjoy working here but the job gets repetitive and you get given loads to do on top of the work you already have and you don't get paid extra or the time you spend working overtime, just get rewarded with 'Thank you'.
Recently I was told I could claim travel expenses (petrol) traveling to other Academies which I was able to do last year but wasn't told, so I have lost out.
It's nice to get some extra jobs within the job but it just gets too much. The staff here are nice and I get along well like we are a family but there are limits.

Working at LAT has been a great experience so far. The team have been extremely  welcoming and supportive. The induction process and overall organisation is the most organised from my experience with other schools. 

Working in a multi academy trust offers a great range of diversity to the working day, with wonderful networking opportunities and development in many areas. I'm learning more about my role and education as a whole, and although in a centralised role, you are still able to feel the rewards of the teaching and learning on children outcomes. 


The support and opportunities provided have been invaluable, enabling me to make significant contributions to our shared goals. Collaborating with a talented team has fostered a dynamic environment where creativity thrives, and challenges are met with determination. The emphasis on innovation and digital learning has been particularly inspiring, aligning perfectly with my passion for modernizing education. Looking ahead, I'm eager to continue this journey, furthering our impact and driving positive change within LAT and beyond.

Management are unsupportive and picky to who they like, ie if you don’t report issues they like you, if you do, they don’t like you.
Very cliquey, a lot of people talk behind others backs including SLT. I watched a member of SLT do a very unflattering and rude impression of 2 different children on 2 separate occasions, they thought it was very funny. If you want to be shouted at by children, parents and staff, I would recommend working here.

Very dismissive and unsupportive of young coworkers. 
Intense cliquey atmosphere of hierarchy and patronising behaviour. 
Wage was less than satisfactory, non-existent training yet high expectations of staff. 
Impotent, cuckolded management unable to prevent internal bullying within self made hierarchy.

There isn’t a best part. Leigh Acadamies Trust don’t value staff

Everything about them it was horrible

Stressful 
Staff were undervalued 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Horrendous no support from higher up

As a Teacher at a school within the trust I feel I am treated like a professional and my work life balance is much better than in other schools.  There are lots of CPD opportunities and I have seen colleagues progress into leadership roles. 

In my department we have a great mix of people and we all support each other to get through the day. 

If you work in a support roll for this trust, you are not valued. I worked for Academies and centrally for the trust. The Trust constantly changed things within my roll, never felt like my job was secure. In Academies communication is poor, and support staff under valued here too. Your seen as dispensable, and they put more and more work on you without any pay adjustment.  Rarely get a break.

Support staff keep getting more and more piled on them as others leave.

Virtually ignored by some of the Senior Team.

Going the extra mile never rewarded.

You can fit in very nicely if your face fits, but be careful what you say and to whom.

Multiple departments that engaged and communicated with each other very engaging and creative. Before the lockdown they utilized a single room but after lockdown we resulted to working from home. This job is very much orientated around the office and the people.
