I genuinely found pleasure each day in going to work for Lister Wilder! The Management are exceptionally friendly, supportive and always willing to go the extra mile for you. 
There was a great deal of satisfaction in the diversity of my work schedule and the role I had to play. The company values the importance of family and maintains a family-oriented atmosphere. Rather than being just a number, I felt like a valued member of the team. Lister Wilder offers numerous opportunities for growth, and there's a clear path for career progression. The dynamic nature of the business is exciting, providing many possibilities for professional development. Working with the friendliest of people has been a rewarding experience, and the collective hard work reflects the appreciation we all receive. I will really miss them all - making the decision to relocate the family wasn't an easy one! 

The work can be demanding and the pace is fast, but how many companies actually have one of their goals as wanting to be the best place people have ever worked?!

They don't get everything right, but its clear that the company put the team at the centre of everything they do - looking after them when they are down, supporting growth and development and wanting everyone to enjoy their jobs.

My work is stressful at times and I sometimes work more hours than I should,  but I know there is a strong team around me and we are there for each other.
The benefit, is that my efforts are recognised and all the little things they do make a real difference - the card on my birthday, the time off in an emergency and the 'thank you' when a job is done well

Lister Wilder is a fulfilling place to work, with a wholesome family feel that makes you feel part of a team branch and company wide. Lister Wilder helps you to progress within your role and has a enjoyable atmosphere that makes you feel welcome. We also have social events, from bowling to having a few drinks which helps bring the team together. Throughout my time I have gained new knowledge and am continuously learning new things every day.  I have also gained not only colleagues but friends that help to make the working environment even more enjoyable.

Working at Lister Wilder for over 10 years has seen huge change.  Constant growth has had is challenges which has provided a varied work environment that keeps everyone on their toes. Time has flown and proud to be part of that growth. The family nature of the business has allowed freedom to explore ways of 'getting things done' without constraint and none thing but encouragement. Great to be part of the team and look forward to seeing what's next on the horizon.

Lister Wilder is the best place I have worked. All employees are kind and helpful people. There are regular visits and communications from management and MDs. At Lister Wilder I have been made to feel as though I am an individual rather than a number as it is very much a family orientated company. There a quite often social events organised by the company which is a great way to keep team morale high! I feel well supported in my role and look forward to many more years working here.   

I really enjoy working at Lister Wilder and have always found them to look after their staff when they need extra support by providing counselling or giving us paid leave if a family emergency happens. They’re also the most flexible place I’ve ever worked in terms of agreeing hours that work around my childcare commitments. 
I work by myself most of the time but there’s a great team at the branch who I’ve had BBQ’s and drinks at the local pub with. 

A great friendly family run business with plenty of opportunities to further your career given the right mindset. 
Lister Wilder are extremely good at rewarding enthusiastic employees with good pay structures, benefits and social events.
A very comfortable place to work with a sense of purpose and stability.  
Lot’s of experience within where you will find staff are happy to help each other 


Relaxed attitude to work. Management can be a bit blinkered- male environment and all benefits are towards male work colleagues.
Provide good training and encouragement - Once initial training in your job is given there is encouragement to make the job your own and use your own initiative as long as it does not affect the smooth running of the business.

All colleagues are lovely be that at management level or not and I felt at ease within weeks of joining. 

The flexibility around family life and children is great and far better than I have experienced before.  The salary is fair and the bonuses are generous. 

There is still progress to be made in some areas but it’s obvious that work is going on behind the scenes to achieve this.
