A very friendly airport on the whole, Luton suffers a little from its handling agents not always being au fait with the check-in and security procedures of a newly arrived carrier.
This last point incorporates what might be termed the most difficult part of the job there...especially with an airline like El Al, whose security process is extremely painstaking and thorough, and which will never brook any breach, however small, in its procedures.  Those unaccustomed to this admittedly harsh regime would sometimes take exception to it and be difficult to convince.
The most rewarding aspect of working at Luton was the friendly enthusiasm of its workers...lacking in some instances at a large airport like Heathrow, where the staff could occasionally be somewhat jaded by comparison.
The most enjoyable part of my job overall was most definitely in taking Luton station from being a relatively unknown quantity, to the departure point of choice for many of our passengers.  I count myself fortunate  in having been there at the inception and seeing the outstation subsequently blossom in popularity.

working as a security officer at London Luton Airport is a very professional workplace where we meet thousands of passengers on a daily basis on ensuring safety and protection for everyone at the airport flying out. 

i have learned enhanced customer service skills and great knowledge on working at the airport. dealing with passengers
and attaining a high level of security to ensure peoples safety.

we work in a very diverse environment with different cultures and backgrounds and work well together as we all respect one another.

hardest part of the job is the constant grind of people coming in and out at bulks at a time which can be quite stressful at times.

most enjoyable part is you get to meet lots of new people.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part was it was local and it was work I knew very well 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The culture was very difficult there. There were new systems there however the staff would not embrace the benefits of this and continued to work ‘the old and trusted way’ this was very frustrating 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not the most welcoming culture to be honest. ‘Outsiders ‘ were always treated exactly like that ‘outsider’ 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very busy and yet frustrating as I was unable to learn and develop as I had hoped

A normal day at work you are meeting and trying to sell the products and help people make their mind up. For example, some customers want to know more about a product, therefore, you must know the correct information about the product to meet the customers need.

My work place has helped me gain a lot of confidence by dealing with people face to face. However, sometimes due to language barriers it is quite hard to talk to people, therefore, you change your methods to adapt in a situation and help people.

Most enjoyable part of the Job is that i have gained experienced working with High End Fashion Brands, such as, Penhaligons and Chanel. Also, you meet new people all the time.

* You do not mind if your manager is incompetent
* You do not mind that your manager complains about everything
* HR does not do their jobs properly and lacks the inability to investigate issues within the team
* If you do not mind your manager trying to show off that she knows everything about PRINCE 2
* You don't mind doing the work strictly in your managers way with no room to improve
* If you don't mind being disrespected daily by your manager
* Doing more work in a low market salary

The most stressful job I've had so far. If you haven't felt what it means to be tired before.... get hired here. The management is very bad. If you're blonde with long eyelashes, then you're their favorite. If you don't know anyone or if you are not the cousin, the nephew, or any other relative you have no chance of a good job in the company.When the new technology (3D scan) was introduced, we didn't even have an hour of training, we had to work like this. I'm surprised that nothing happened. I'm afraid to fly from here knowing that the person who scans the bags has no idea what happens

I have gained excellent customer service 
My co workers are fun and enjoyable to work with
The hardest part of this job is the management they don't praise the staff enough for the hard work we do when something goes wrong they punish everyone instead of re training
The most enjoyable part of the job are my work colleagues we all get on so well we work well together and we get the jobs done we work 12 hour shifts 4 on 4 off so we spend a lot of time with each other.

Management are the problem. They seem to think they are better than the security team. They don't lead by example and the stick together to cover each other's backs.
Awful working environment where they care little for staff or compliance. 
Favouritism is a massive problem which they never address. It is so evident to all that work there but the management do not care.

1.	At Boarding we help each other for boarding the passenger 
2.	Summer time is always busy, so we have to be extra proactive everywhere 
3.	Fun to have helping colleague and working as a team 
4.	The Hardest part of the job is when the flight delays or any cancellation happens. 
5.	The most enjoyable part of the job seeing happy passenger flying for their destinations

An extraordinary place to be working at due to having the opportunity to help people seeking advice and help, and ensuring that they experience an incredible journey by feeling cared for and having a sense of safety and security around them at all times.
