Long work day, with lots of unpaid overtime and weekend work. Fast moving business with fluctuating amounts of work load and pressure since it is R&D. 
Management could use a lot of improvement, particularly on motivating the workforce, as they generally do the opposite; although they do keep all employees included and well informed with business activities. Salaries and benefits are generally extremely good; though the workload certainly isn't worth the time if they do not provide a good salary to an individual.
Despite being a world class engineering establishment, they are very opposing to career progression within the company; preferring to employ already qualified people from outside than to train people internally. 

Overall can be a rewarding place to work if you get the job you want and you don't mind sacrificing social life for work.

A truly interesting place to work. Every day is a different challenge and there are no 2 days the same. Whether it's the thrill of technical solutions or meeting new people, it is absolutely stimulating.

Fast paced environment of Formula 1, highly demanding and rewarding at the same time. There is a good chance it upsets work/life balance especially for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals.

Have learnt a lot about Networks, Servers, Workstations, Mobile devices and how a larger organization can efficiently manage it's IT assets.

How is it possible that they ask you, without hiding it, in writing, to work extra hours with being paid!! Is this legal in UK?
A very dark atmosphere where everything revolves around quantity, not quality, of the hours you work.
They treat you like you work for a charity that needs your benevolent voluntary work to keep them afloat.
It is unimaginable from outside how bad is managed and how unprofessional the business works.
By far the worst work place from all points of view.

Free tea and coffee everywhere. Reasonable gym and nice food in canteen. Everything is health conscious onsite. 
Very old fashioned management punitive management style onsite. Micromanagement and aggressive stubborn behaviour from managers is common place

Nice place to work, with good people and good conditions. The hardest part of the job is producing consistent tight tolerance components under pressure. Working over frequently to get jobs complete.

The most enjoyable part to the job is the self satisfaction when watching a race knowing you've contributed towards the result and the whole team ethic.

Absolutely loved the time I spent working a Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains. Such an amazing place to work, filled with lovely people. Would have loved more of a chance to prove myself there but they didn’t have the work load of me and if they have no work, then they just make you redundant which is really upsetting as I feel given the chance I could been a great asset to the team

Amazing place to work for. The facilites are second to none. Very different world if u love formula one then its your dream Job. Its very humbling to work for this company knowing what u are contributing to and towards very honured and humbled to work here.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
One of my the best that I had the pleasure to experience.

I loved working there for 12 years loved the job made many friends and met many of the F1 drivers, the only reason I left was I had a medical problem which meant I was off work for 6months at there suggestion but they wouldn't pay any wages only statutory sick pay and they wouldn't let me work part time

During the time I was there I has a lot of time to finish tasks but the working hours were extremely long for 8am-6pm. I would recommend if you like an active productive job but it wasn’t for me as of the hour drive there and back
