Whilst working at the Morgan Motor Company, I learned a lot about how the design industry works. My typical day would start off by me being introduced to my manager, and then working in a separate area in the warehouses from 9am to 6pm. This has allowed me to explore and understand each stage of the model manufacturing process in the transport design industry. The management was well thought out, and I was consistently working and learning new techniques and processes during my time with the other employees. The hardest part of the job was when I was memorizing the different screw and bolt sizes, along with the order they were in; during the day I was fitting engines in the cars. The most enjoyable part of the job was feeling proud after seeing the final cars I had helped produce.

Unfortunately the quality is put second to the speed it can be done unlike the old times. Unreasonable deadlines and expected/ pressured to work unpaid Saturdays in busy periods for the love of the brand. Some very poor management including claims of how we are replacebale. Easily the worst culture I have worked in to date.

The place could be great, the quintessentially British brand falls down with employees due to poor management, infeasible deadlines and management in instances using archaic methods of bully culture to stimulate the workforce.

Typically a busy working environment.  Stressful at times but can also be fun due to the nature of the product.  Enjoyed occasionally working at shows and events.

Learnt a great deal about the automotive industry over the 14 years, its highs aswell as its lows.

Great staff, friendly place to work.

Bullied by some of the management,harassment,from other members of staff,allowed to get away with it,toxic environment to work in.I’m achievable times on jobs,quality of product suffered.


I generally get on very well with my co workers.
 you never really stop learning in the motor trade.
The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing the final resuls.

Do I need to say more? In my years at MMC I found the only advantage to the job role was the wage. You will be told lots of do's and don'ts, unless it suits management then they'll change their mind half way through. 

The pay was good and so were the hours. Breaks morning, lunch, afternoon and finishing early on a Friday was welcome. The work itself was enjoyable and varied.

No clear instructions for work, folding roof design for AR400 Aero 8 i was pulled between technical manager and styling manager untimately led me to leave
